    Sound is completely static

Thanks Avon, I must of missed that article. I read through all the links and tryed some things with the sound settings, but no success. I decided just to re-install WinME. Things look much better now, that error problem is gone, and im going to install OFP and see how it goes. I'm guessing all should be well Thanks again for the help everyone

    Sound is completely static

Thanks for the replys. I know i've dled some updates for basic software and what not, and have updated OFP as well. Same result with new patches. I've checked out Avon's page for help, thx. Nothing successful yet. By static, I guess the best way to explain it, is it sounds like electricity. Whenever sound is played, it is played like what electricity sounds like. I can still hear the accuracy ok, but there's more static included then should be. For ex: when I fire the gun, the frame rate works fine, but the sound is slower to react and when it does, it goes in little bursts. The pace is the problem. Someone else said for me to try a clean install of WinMe and see if the problems go away. I'll keep checking here and other areas, Thanks.
  3. Ok, here's the deal. When I first bought Operation Flashpoint it worked fine, good sound, good video, everything perfect. Now, after about a month of not playing im in the mood to play and the sound is all static, kinda like a slide show. I mean, it's basicly unplayable. The Video works ok, except it kind of jumps when sound plays. I have a Creative Sound Blaster PCI 128, and I tried updateing it. I got some error after restarting, but it gives the new driver version. I'm also more of a Mac user, so bare with me if I sound out of the loop. I've tried updateing it several times, tried reinstalling, and restoreing the whole computer a few times. Also, I don't know if this has anything to do with the static sound, but i always have this Iomega ActiveDisk error after inserting a CD. It says " Error loading resource dll. " If anyone has some info as to how to fix this, please tell. Also, my CD came with v.1.20 when it worked fine. Well, if anyone has some tips to these, please let me know, Thanks.
