Lets all try and go a whole day without a thread being closed by a "thread closed" trigger happy mod

He wasnt talking about why you have to crouch when firing the law/rpg, he means like why cant you just walk around with it when you dont want to fire it just yet, instead of having to slowly creep forward on your knees when moving to a position.

You cant include god in this because we can questions his very exsistant of wether he is real or not, so that doesnt count as a leader. Im athiest, but lets not turn this into a "he created everything/no he didnt" thing. My favourite leader would be churchill. He really helped the british people find the will to carry on. a blizted london, and still he kept the hope up of victory, which in return put spirit into the civilians. A key to victory. Things would be very different if everyone was demoralised. Maggie thatcher i think was just a flame fest back in her days. I actually admire her (not in an attractive sence!!! People slag her for the Falklands war, saying it was just a pointless excercise for her to show who was in charge. Well not quite in those words or reason but they still said it was her own private war that should have been uneccessary. However, on the benefitial side, it showed the world what british commandos were capable of, and it was a chance to give harriers some real combat experience. maggie had guts and she stood up for herself. Good on her.

I agree with the comment about instead of giving pilots longer shifts, train more pilots to cover them. Sure it costs money and time, but rather money and time than another friendly fire incident - no matter what was behind the cause of it. Although im sure the government blah would see things differently....

Your tourists are a shame for your country

Its insulting to be grouped as "Britain" the scots are reputably one of the freindliest nations, and is duely noted when it comes to football. We are great hosts, and excellent visitors. -
It means elite 1 = L 3 = E 3 = E 7 = T very sad if you ask me. almost as bad as when they say n00b

I never really played CS, but i loved DoD. I dont play OFP onilne seeing as i only have a 56k, and have a mutual respect for the people who want to play a game without me lagging them up. Delta force 2 can be a laugh these days. graphics are still pants, and its full of cheats, but it adds to the fun. nothing more satisfying than killing a speed cheater with a pistol or knife. Sniper hunting is also a favourite past time for me on DF2, and land warrior. Knifing them of course adds insult to injury. BF1942 sounds too good to be true. I havnt yet played the demo, but have heard lots of stories about bugs. mind you its still in beta days, and i will still of course have it pre-ordered.

Why not instead of saying "what a stupid thread" give an answer that defends your beleifs that this is infact a stupid thread. proove that this is a stupid thread. back it up with evidence. Its called a debate. No matter how...err different, the topic is. If there is problems with an over populated world, i would see no harm in just being done with stupid criminals who will never cease what they do if they got released, also save a fortune on tax payers money by not having to keep them in jail. However my opinion wouldnt stand, and there would be human rights marches from dawn till dusk. Would it be ironic if i protested against protestors?? most likely. Some criminals are deemed "evil" by judges, like pedophiles, rapists etc, and i agree, they are sickenly evil. would it however be thought of as "evil" to pop a bullet through their head? I think a real life game show like The Running Man would be great. Would anyone here think that as evil, or pure entertainment!!!.

My name comes from the fact it seemed a popular name that i figured would already be taken, but low and behold it wasnt. I actually chose it for my email address, so i just decided to use it here too. I joined in january......then lost interest in OFP (how dare i) but now i am back with the team!!

Sometimes we feel the need to destroy entire villages of innocent Vietnamese, but thats the extent of our meaness..." ...except for when you nuke Japanese cities... ;/<span id='postcolor'> Pfft, if youre going to do something wrong, do it right. Like us british in the olden days. feild artillary against some zulus armed with spears and watermelons. I have some true stories from army cadet days: Keep on trucking We got taken up for a trip in the highlands of scotland to meet some real soldiers doing a training excercise. We were well impressed with all the bug weapons they had that we'd never seen up close before. We got to watch them, and when they were done they came over for a chat. Real friendly guys too, they offered to take us into the local town and show us around, so they piled us into the back of their truck. If youve ever been to the highlands, youll know the roads are narrow. basically the truck takes up the whole road. Before the village, there was a bridge, which cant take the trucks weight, so they parked it as far off the road as they could and we walked into town and spent the rest of the day there. It was getting late, about 9pm but still light since it was summer, we headed back to the truck, to find the wheels had been stolen. Now its an 8 tonne truck, and the wheels are huge. we all stood around like numptys staring at this truck in disbeleif, then a land rover pulled up and a farmer got out. If we wanted the wheels back the soldiers sergent was to apologise for his hedge being crushed (which happened when we parked off the road) The serg was a stubborn bsatrd and refused to apologise, and so seeing as neither him nor the farmer would compromise, they had to call in a replacement set of wheels and lifting equipment. when never got back to camp till 3am. As far as i know, the wheels are burried on a hill, and the local policeman isnt/wasnt interested in the ordeal. Pays to be a winner Getting to camp was great fun, another trip to the highlands, and this time we were dropped off 5 miles from the forest campsite. It was basically a leasurly hike with our bergens to the forest, except on the last mile our corporol said "it pays to be a winner". We got told this a lot, and usually meant you got rewarded if your were first finished doing something. It was a mad rush of about 30 of us to get to camp first. When we arrived, the corporol and sergents had their luxury tents all set up and a brew going, and lathers of midgey repelent on etc. me and some mates got into camp near the front of the pack, and the sergents told us to set our tents up near theirs. For some reason they had picthed their tent on the slope, but we did anyway. the straglers camp in shortly after we strated to set ours up. the only places left were on the flat at the bottom. we had to find rocks and logs to place under our stoves to keep it level, we basically just copied what the sergents had done, meanwhile, the guys on the flat were doing fine, having no trouble with cooking on their nice flat area. about 2am it started to piss down with rain, we would hear it pelting off the tents as we drifted in and out of sleep. then we were woken by wails of shouting cadets. everyone poked their heads out of their tents and ended up on the floor with laughter at the sight of the other cadets almost knee deep in water on the flat area of the campsite. The river nearby had burts its banks. The corporal with a big grin on his face said "i told you it pays to be a winner". We had a great laugh, I dont know why i never went on to join the army...im only 20, i suppose its not too late.....

I chose water. Im not afraid of water as such. Like I wont run screaming from a glass of it. Im not afraid of whats in it either, killer animals etc. Its man made objects in water i hate. Like dams, and sleuch gates. I have a strange facination with dams, im always visiting them and taking tours, but I have a fear of ever falling into the reservoir and being sucked under into a turbine, or into a salmon ladder. And sleuch gates, well theyre just deadly!

I have to admit, i love the idea suggested by some of you guys about a radio operator. Those of you who have seen we were soldiers for example, the napalm fight, with the radio operator calling in airstrikes, and of course, getting one strike wrong....killing his own side, yelling battle reports back to base, requesting back up, calling a retreat. If a dynamic campaign was made, id like the ability to retreat properly, but not have to restart the mission, simply carry on, only making things a bit harder because you failed the last mission. I know this was in OFP but it was scripted. Being able to airlift weapons, have ammo/supplies dropped from the air, chinooks that can hold jeeps in the back that can be parachuted out, or driven out after landing. you get the idea, also the choppers used in nam, or the ofp day equivilent, so that troops cans be brought in and out of the hot lz's For some reason i love being a medic, i think i got that from delta force land warrior. SO id like to have evac choppers to take away the wounded, or to be able to drive ambulances into battle to pull out men, and also use jeeps to do that. then race back to base/camp drop them off at a medi tent then race back for more. wounded soldiers who cant walk anymore and theres no medic should not be going into battle. so id like the AI commander to stop including him in fire fights. i dont care how ramboesq that wounded soldier thinks he is The ability to surrender/drop you weapon and put up your hands. then its touch and go if the enemy will kill you or capture you. and obviously capture leads you to having to escape and get back to base, kind of like a sub mission in the campaign. however, the more times you are caught, the enemy will recognise you, and not let you away so easily. Probably something that wont happen but would be nice, is torture, where yuo can chose to spill the plans you know like a wuss, or take a beating. a button bash would then be needed to take the beating/electrocutions, like in metal gear solid. and after a while, you are either busted out by a rescue squad, or be exchanged for a prisoner your side has caught. incedently that option would need to be made available, to capture enemy soldiers who surrender. and shooting a soldier who has surrendered gets you in trouble with your c/o. unless noones looking of course thats all i can think of right now.

Oppenheimer DID say which campaign mission was easy, not single mission Hmmwv is an easy single mission. however i did manage to get myself killed on it. there was no way i was letting the other two hmmwv' beat back to base so i sped along, rammed the leading car off the road, then at a junction missed the turn and smacked into a tree breaking my hmmwv. I got out and proceded to run to base, where i was instantly mown down by one of the hmmwv' going to fast to miss me. A fun to way to beat the escape from prison mission is when you land, run like heck to the building behind you, where youll find an ammo crate. get down, mow anyone who runs into your site, but more importantly, kill the pilots. then you have the mi17 at your disposal to wreak havoc. easist mission for me was was the kill the 2 spetxnatx soldiers and spot the chopper, but it was a horrible one too, as i was waiting for the inevitable attack, but expected a much larger enemy.
