So somethig to clear this thing: Fins are mostly nonmoveablle But theres canards on the front of the bombs whic trun or spin the bomb so can easily chnge direction of freefall/glide. Fins/wings are used to give stabilty and some lifting power too. LGB are excellent performers in dive deliveries initiated from medium altitude. A steep, fast dive attack increases LGB maneuvering potential and flight ability. Medium altitude attacks generally reduce target acquisition problems and more readily allow for target designation by either ground or airborne designation platforms. Medium altitude LGB dive delivery tactics are normally used in areas of low to medium threat. www.fas.org

Because of this the Royal Marines were treated with great respect by their captors... source: http://www.britains-smallwars.com/Falklands/South-Georgia.html It was war but soldiers are not machnies they act like humans: Mills (britihs commander) advised Astiz (argentinian commander) that his men had heavily booby-trapped the jetty. Astiz asked that Marine Daniels ( who had placed the booby traps ) would care to remove his unpleasant surprises. Daniels obliged although it was contrary to the Geneva Convention. The only British casualty, Corporal Peters, was taken aboard the Bahia Paraiso and received expert treatment from an Argentine doctor on board

IMHO Falklands/Malvinas war not so low technology conflict. It was low intensity conflict (no actions against mother lands, operation just on relatively limited area(i dont min the rumors about Rio Galegos) with relatively limited power (NO nukes)), but it wasnt low technology conflict. On both sides was some of the wordls most sophissticated equipment (for example NVS, AA misilles etc etc). British soldiers use they own stuff (Harriers, Blowpipe, etc etc), Argentinians does use equipmnet gained from USA (M-16A1s, AAVP-7s etc etc) and from France (EXOCET).
-
As a source of imformation for all Britain bassed MODs i suggest Britains-smallwars cause is it most complete online archive. Believe me, i know what im talking about Complete list of conflicts is listed here.

I have already heard about someone doing this mod but dunno anything exact.

Hey folks, i have my weekend house not far from well known czech MTA Doupov-Hradiste (for you not military dudes it does mean Military Training Area), and i have discovered (dont ask me how ) Â that US army (maybe some other NATO armies too) should have there huge exercise (more than 100 days). And because im really interst in USArmy, especialy in military aviation, i want to go there a take few pictures. But i dont want to be shot as spy, so im asking you: Dont you now anyone whos there, or dont you now the exact unit? Cause it will be much easier for me to take those pictures with some kind official permission. P.S. Excuse my english Â

IM BACK AND ALIVE! I hopefully survived the mission  But there was few moments, when the fun is over  Like when fully loaded Apache is strafing against me. I was sitting in car and just remembering how big thermalsignature my car does have and how its immpsoible to avoid Hellfire  But overall it was GREAT weekend and i promise you to put some pictures here as soon as possible. Look technicly you guys are now military contractors. So that gives you well not the right. But the possability to contact your military liason and ask him to set something up.They usual have no problem with it. Trust me nothing like them bringing a bus load of military contractors into a satcom vehicle that is this big []. Â Then they ask you all kinds of questions which you answer in a precise military manner. Â Then they go back to their labs and make something that is totally screwed up and do not listen to you at all. Â For example there is one radio system no lie that some grunt figured out that if you bang on it. It realigns the chips inside and works perfectly again. No lie. Then you tell them stuff like this and they shake thier head and go on thier merry way. Â Thinking you are nuts. But when the manual is updated. Sure enough in troubleshooting section. "BANG ON THE BLAH SYSTEM TO REALINE CHIPS". Any way try contacting your military liason you should have one. Explain what you want to do thier. Well don't say you just want pictures. But you want to view the equipment to see if how it works in real life or some other bs. Lay down some computer mumbo jumbo on top and you are in like flynn. Trust me I talked to a couple of contractors before and the only reason they actually go on some of these trips is to get rides in choppers or other military vehicles. Hope this helps you!<span id='postcolor'> ALMAO :-) txh pal

Then i was enlisted as tester (i participated already on EU release) Im graduated 2D grphic/DTP So i tried to do some textures, my first task was instumental panel and HUD of Suchoj Su-25 (sukhoi) and textures for Ch-29T (television guided rockets on Suchoj). Then come the Ch-47 (whole instrumnetal panel (i saw the 'Nam era movie about maintance of CH47 1000 times cause i haev no images of HDD)) Now im working on lot of things to DDisk but its classified now so i should wait until its released :-)

I should maybe get my tools of trade with me on that exercise :-) 4AndyZMTAs in Poland are huge but im talking about "live fire area" Believe me i have this inforamtion form NATO HQ Â Ex-RoNiN Do You know that im OFPN header artist? Doupov-Hradiste is biggest livefire MTA area in europe (except navals). It does have 140 sq.km overall. 30 sq.km are for coordintion areas, that does mean: Get from A to B and shot anythnig you encounter. And there is separate aircarft and artilery shooting range, and EOD areas. Lot of fun on really small area
-
I have already particiapted on few  military exercises in MTA doupov, so i think o know the are like noone other. I have few army and CT experinces too (even grwoe in Airswoft :-), so im better then James Gastowski (btw my position in BIS is 2D/3D Artist - Military Advisor) Im too not so young as it looks (in fact im 21 (almost  so im not "horny" to die on shooting range cause im so stupid i run into live fire exercise :-)

So here is the picture i promised. Enjoy. P.S. I must repeat that it doesnt have anything to do with my work in BIS.

If possible, do it as a representative of BIS, citing that you guys are the ones behind OFP/VBS. By this way, I hope they will be nicer to you. If you are just a civilian, they will not be happy, but if you are some mil sim dev team, they wouldn't mind(my guess).
