    Console in ofp2 ?

    Ability to make dialogs which don't stop player controls should solve this. Mission maker then can decide to implement his own type of console or there could be some default by BIS...

    I don't think this would be often used feature and it is not hard to script it, so why should BIS bother with it?

    Open source?

    For example general AI behaviour, controls, physics and much more. Now you can actually do "only" new models, sounds, textures and configs, stringtables and front-end (maybe I've forgotten something). All game-modifications are made by scripts. It would be nice to have opportunity to go deeper into the engine rules either by some sort of advanced scripting or SDK. (imagine to have ability to mess with the AIcenter classes... mhhmm, nasty )

    Ai thread

    I want more FF! Â I think AI should have more problem with friend/foe identification. If you for example have an AK, you're shooting from it and you're moving from enemy direction, AI (friendly and enemy) should have problem to id you if they don't see you clear (poor flanker ). Now, the AI leader knows perfectly positions of all his subordinates and AI also identifies friendly units in a glimpse even if they're running trough dense jungle. If something like this is implemented, I would also like to see "Report position" command implemented for players to avoid FF.

    /OT That is because of indirect hit and because the gun is taken as part of your body. In fact you bleed and could be killed when shot to your weapon. Hope in OFp2 they will introduce system dealing with it realistically (e.g. gun falling off your hands when dead and becoming independent object).

    Types of addevent handlers

    Would like to see handlers for: turn in/out light on/off switching weapons and putting them on back getting crouch/prone and maybe for default actions like "salute" or "sit down"

    I would like to see some more hotkeys for standard actions e.g. "Eject/Disembark" "Drop weapon", switch to rocket launcher etc. (or even better to assign hotkeys for any action you want) and ability to disable hotkeyed actions from action menu. Rolling through 10+ actions in menu can be quite tricky and I think something like this could make controls more user friendly.

    Larger ai engagement range pack

    Sorry, but I think the 7 damage value for 5.45 ammunition is funny. It makes it weaker than most of original Res pistols (not even mentioning realism, you can survive 4-6 bullets in the chest). It is possible to use numbers like 8.5 ?

    Missing addon, bmp2

    I encoutered this problem recently and I think there is no problem with missions (got it on missions with only official adds too), but rather is related to particular addons even if the mission doesn't use them. Some of the addons causing this problem are Ash Snow vehicles, MFCTI1.0 or csla. But the weird thing is that it started about week ago, not before, not even after installing 1.91 patch. Spooky.

    Eh, I think they're not using any program, simply getting stats from screenshots.
  11. "MissionStart" return when exactly the mision started (array - [year,month,...]), so it is possible. But it works in MP only.

    Mp commands

    Hello, I am trying to create special version of CTF and because I cannot test it in real MP with more clients I need to help with some commands. I need to know if these commands executed only on server will be send to clients too: "setflagowner" "titletext" "addscore" If not, is there a way to execute some script globally on all PC's without using publicvariable? Thank you in advance. (...and please excuse my terrible English )

    Map markers in multi play

    Map markers are also influenced by selected channels, so if you don't want enemy to see it, switch to Side channel prior to making a marker.

    11) It is possible with EditorUpgrade102. There are tanks (M1A1 and T-80) controlled by 1 AI, I think you can also control them (mouse for turret and keys for movement)

    PBO to SQM conversion...

    It's just vice versa - SQM decrypter doesn't decrypt last lines from encrypted mission.sqm. So you have to be creative and add them someway. Usually, copying lines from class OutroWin (for missions with no outro like this one) works: Your example, last lines from mission.sqm > class OutroWin { addOns[]={}; randomSeed=5958659.000000; class Intel { }; }; class OutroLoose { addOns[]={}; randomSeed=5958659.000000; class Intel { }; };

    What to fix in the next patch

    VERY old bugs (from 1.00), but still annoying: If you have AA/AT launcher (not LAW/RPG) and you fire your rocket, you cannot take other rocket (or whole launcher) from your dead buddy, but it is possible from box or truck. If you're commander fo M1A2 or M2A2, in external view, you cannot rotate your view 360 degrees around, only 270 or so. It doesn't affect others tanks or APCs and internal view is fine (in Abrams).

    Today I connected to the forum after 3 days and guess how many new posts I've found on CZ forums? Three. Yes, English forums need better moderation, but don't compare it to Czech forums, it is unfair. And because big bosses like Maruk or Suma don't post on Czech forums, answers there are not as clear and satifactory. BTW> Please don't use the word Chechs, we're not from Chechnya

    Why is percentage of developers' answers higher in Czech forums? It is simple: Czech forums 5-10 posts a day, English forums - tons of posts every day of which 90% are off-topic s**t like this;) And by the way I live in Czech republic and know no one who can speak 4 or 5 languages. People here speak only English, German, Russian, Czech (what a surprise!) Slovakian, which makes... Â 5 languages, d*amn!:biggrin:
