Are there any video interviews and demonstrations of this besides soundless videos that could have easily been made in any random video editing software? Could easily be a hoax me thinks.

Teamkilling isn't lame. -
I like how in ArmA 3 you can customise your weapons. I hope that BIS bring in stuff like double tap, body armour, steady aim and sleight of hand. That way you could customise your skills and make your skills just like in real life.

Chat system - killing reports reposition

or something like: PLAYER1 was killed by PLAYER2 PLAYER1 connected PLAYER1 uses modified data file - ArmA 2;ArmA 2: British Armed Forces;ArmA 2: Private Military Company PLAYER1 was killed by PLAYER2 (PLAYER7): "Hello guys!" PLAYER3 was killed by PLAYER2 PLAYER4 was killed by PLAYER2 OPFOR (PLAYER8): "Wow PLAYER2 is pwning!" Player PLAYER1 disconnected Player PLAYER3 disconnected Player PLAYER4 disconnected (PLAYER2): "Why did they all leave the server?" Just so that one line of BS / not useful to actual gameplay messages take up half as much space. ALSO. imagine that they do not have the background colours either. :) -
If ever. As far as I've read it relys on using bacteria to create energy. Come on now... There are so many alternative energy sources that are better than bacteria.......... bacteria. I could create more electricity by harvesting the same energy used to scratch my balls. Ya. I was just showing the traditional method. ;)
-
BULL-FUCKING-SHIT. Come on.. Separating hydrogen from oxygen is an endothermic reaction and takes A LOT of energy. Doing it with bacterium just sounds futile.... Maybe if you want to wait ten years. rofl. http://www.instructables.com/id/Separate-Hydrogen-and-Oxygen-from-Water-Through-El/ First you must use energy to separate hydrogen before you get any energy back.... If I remembered chemistry I'd be able to tell the exact amounts. It's useful for cars and shit because it beats waiting ten hours to charge a battery. Nuclear > Bacteria. Use nuclear energy to make hydrogen gas. Don't piss around with bacteria. Hydrogen is an energy carrier, not an energy source.

Why? CoD would only add to the realism.

CoD blops + ArmA = Fuck yeah.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how realistic is Arma2

BIS already said they will not support config editing while the game is loaded up, unless in singleplayer or editing mode. This was when mergeConfig was first introduced. But there are consequences... It makes the game easier to "cheat" or "hack". So in all likelihood without there being an added major hurdle for BIS to overcome, they will not support Automatic downloads. It's just an extra thing that can be exploited, and that's not something we really need. What I would suggest is that when connecting to a server, it checks (as usual) that the content required is running on client side. If it is not, then along with the kick message "you are missing bla bla required to play this mission" you are also prompted with a message which gives you a link to the addons and mods you need to download (by default the link should take you to the addons forum section or perhaps a modsite). This link will be entered into the server.cfg by admins which takes you to a webpage including links to all the addons required or a package for you to install in order to play on that particular server.

You're right. I wasn't entirely true. And, for these people I offer my thanks and most of all recognition, even if they don't effect me directly, but even just for the greater good of mankind. But, broadening the perspective here I care equally to those who have died any time providing any service as such. Even more so if I directly effects me. But, as for "wars fought in their name", that's not entirely true at all. How was Saddam or Iraq responsible for 9/11 at all? Perhaps they had ties to AlQaeda, so what? So does Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia etc etc.. Their deaths have been used to "justify" and used as an excuse for wars which result in 100s of times more amount of deaths. And, that brings us back to the reason of the whole unnecessary glorification of the tragedy. -------------- 99% of people have family members that have died, and they manage to get over it or at least not have to inform as much people as they can about it ten years later. As a whole, we cannot keep on wallowing in the deaths of others. People want to move on. They will choose to remember when they feel like, not when they are told to. And, that's why people get sick of this. It's lost any sentiment that it has due to overhearing about it. People don't want bad news stuffed down their throats every second of their lives... Some people were murdered ten years ago? It gets really really really old. Getting dragged back and back again. It was not a movement or a cause. You see, they never fought for my freedoms, they never volunteered their lives so I could live. They were murdered. If you had a family member that died there, then I'm not sorry. I did not kill them. I did not know them. But, that's a shame. And, this is why if you want to mourn for them you should probably keep it private as you would with your family members who have died... I could argue that putting 9/11 on the shrine where it is right now and worshipping it is infact fueling the publicity stunts pulled by politicians/media etc. is infact a great disrespect. :j: I don't want to go on. We're all hypocrites right? But, I've said my piece and going on would only exalt the topic even more.... It's time to move on. Yes... MOVE ON.

The all new: Ask a moderator about the forum & rules
Dead3yez replied to Placebo's topic in OFFTOPIC
Think about this. http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=2021409&postcount=27 Is it okay for a moderator to ban someone for (jokingly I believe hence the "ali baba" comment) calling people mentally retarded, but not before calling them an idiot. Actually, I know the reply I would get. So, I'll just leave this as a thought! I'm not going to challenge it in anymore magnitude than this. -
I don't get it. Did any one of you know these people on a personal level? Did they die during an act of courage and bravery? Did they die for freedom? Most likely no. They were murdered. And, because of the events freedoms were taken away from people. Each time it is "remembered" or should I really say reminded to you... It gives the media/governments etc around the world to spread fear and use this terror acts to justify removing freedoms from the people (TSA for example), grabbing money and continue on with wars which have gone on for far too long. Remembering them, respecting them? Yeah... I know. I'll watch them all being killed again, as if the first time wasn't shocking enough and call it "Remembering/respecting them". Really? If you had a loved one in the building you would give them remembrance by watching their death each year? Anniversary? That makes it more specialer? I mean it's not like it wasn't possible to get through each week since without being remembered. If that's what gets you off, then go right ahead. But do not give me any backlash with your double standards. Yeah.... I'm truly sorry if I interrupted your remembering session. But you know what? This is a public forum and I can criticise if I want. A forum is no place to pay your respects if you're dead serious. Discussion, yes. I believe you're wrong (at least in the United Stated and most other countries). For example, in the United States people are allowed to spew as much idiocy as they want since it is protected by the first amendment ... That thing called freedom of speech. Note, I am not a conspiracy theorist or even jokingly being one, so please don't ban me.

It was a horrific tradegy, but it was ten years ago. I care for those 3,000 (+152,000) people that died on that day ten years ago as much as the 155,000 that die everyday. That's all I have to say. TERRORISTS TERRORISTS TERRORISTS TERRORISTS TERRORISTS TERRORISTS TERRORISTS TERRORISTS TERRORISTS TERRORISTS TERRORISTS TERRORISTS

Are you feeling randy? Are you? I'm very stiff. Are you? Yes I am okay. Why are you not okay? You don't seem very clever. Neither do you. Since you sit here and talk to random people and don't even get paid for it. I've talked to better bots before. You're a joke. What's red and blue all over? What? A newspaper! I've thought about it. It might just be me, I could be slo. But that doesn't even make any fucking sense. You don't make sense. You're repetative. I'm a robot. A gay robot. I am your robot command me. Suck my cock, robot. Don't ask me cause I will. I'm not asking, I'm commanding. You love your boyfriend? You are my boyfriend. I love you. Thank you , You are really sweet. I command you to lick my balls! *sits at master s feet*. *teabags the robot*. *drinks tea*? (somethingsomething... bot asks if im flirting) Perhaps. Drink more tea! You've been drinking? How old are you? Old enough for robot sex. Are you hitting on me? We've been over this. Continue sucking my balls please. Do you like pie A. What the fuck? Bye. Boring! What's Pie A ? Pie? Like you eat? You know... PIE? Can you give me a creampie? *hug*. Can I give you a creampie? Yes, you can if you want. *Gives the robot a nice warm creampie*. *is dead*.

Let me just say this: Windmills only work when and where there's wind... Oh, if there's too much wind, they don't work either. ROFL! Many countries are miles ahead of others in terms of nuclear energy. What we don't need is tree humping, scaremongering pricks who freak out every time they hear the word nuclear. The risks become minimised as technology progresses, and the technology isn't exactly new is it now? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Electricity_in_France.svg When coal and oil run out / become too expensive, it's not me who wants to be pushed back to the stone age.

Should the default FOV (Field of view) be higher?

Should the default FOV (Field of view) be higher?
Dead3yez replied to Dead3yez's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
Have you ever actually zoomed in, in arma before? You lose FPS because it actually forces higher LODs to load. You should try using the + and - buttons in first and third person and see what happens when you're running and FPS counter. The effect that I'm specifically talking about can be demonstrated best when double tapping the minus key and comparing it to normal view. -
Electronic chillout. ;) Ambient Dubstep ftw? a0yryGhtTrk (must play in hd) It's free too... So... BIS should contact that guy and get it in the game. LOL Here's another chillout kinda, but only avail on vinyl, and not sure how it would go with flying, since it's not really that ambient. blDqnFOSgOo +100 other "chillout" track suggestions.

Clearly the music in the most recent trailer is electronic style. Specifically dubstep, wobble bass and "slow" kick and snare. I like it though. Can always get out the music player and use that if you wanna play the sos while flying. So, not sure some of you you old fogeys and your classic rock are gonna like it. :p
