Anyone here located in Berlin? Are you able to use visitor 3? Can you work part time? If you can answer yes to all of the above and are interested in getting some work.. please PM me for more details.

VBS2 1.22 ADF, NZDF and SDF Screenshots
Dogstar replied to mr.g-c's topic in BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE - GENERAL
AAR is also probally my favorite feature as well as the IEDs when playing redcell opfor teams. When your playing the simulation, i dont think you ever get bothered by lack of normal maps or specular maps. There are more terrains than there are missions atm, and the biggest difference between arma and vbs2 is the size of the community for the non mil players. -
I dont get it... why do you release crappy stuff on purpose to the ARMA community? before you think this is flame... think again. or should i just post your quotes on your arma release strategy....
-
something is definitely wrong... I also have a 200km desert map and it can easily have it on 10k or higher how long did you spend on this map before yur first release?

I opened up your pbo and am wondering why you still have the .png files packed in there?

Operation Flashpoint 2 officially announced
Dogstar replied to imported_bör's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Id much rather see actual ingame pictures... At the end of the day.. ill play both on my xbox.. Its not an issue of this or that. The real question is which console game will allow modding if any? -
the unit is vbs2... the map can be either or... no vbs2 objs are in the map... The map was just a test to see how a sat map could be made from scratch. as opposed to using a real snow sat map mountain road @icemotoboy Any wildlife planned?

Schmalfelden, Germany Map

looking great... -
I don't know who this Dogstar is but his lack of ability to search for real knowledge shows the worth of his education. To be honest, its not difficult to realise this Smiley_Nick is taking you all for a ride. The tool was dropped for being problematic. thanks for being honest.... but.... no one is taking anyone for a ride accept mabey myself Ribbit

A member of BIS has already stated that such tools do not exist. I am not sure who "Nick" is but he seems to have the idea that BIS holds more tools from the community, I believe Suma said a certain tool rumoured to exist is actually fictitious. The support for FBX to get in animations is not in the current tools.. the import option was left in the menu. therefore.... dont know who this prydain is, replying about stuff he doesnt even know about

Using a Tablet for model work
Dogstar replied to [aps]gnat's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Obviously 2d work its great, or 3d paint programs even better. 3d modeling can be amazing, but is limited to organic modeling as seen in Zbrush or Maya. I use it for building islands/maps ....Wilbur For low poly modeling, it could be great but the time it takes for you to feel comfortable, is not worth messing up things when you can do it the first time around with a mouse. It ALOT more accurate than a mouse, but clicking and unclicking is annoying and really not worth the stress. Plus your access to the keyboard is strange when needing to use standard 3 button shortcuts to most 3d aps -

We're leaning to a few engines, but its uncertain whether we will actually move to them (Which I'll leave to Smiley to announce)however if we do we'll still release stuff for ArmA as well AFAIK. Ah thats good news, so worst case scenario he can have static dinos is ARMA. Seems like Crysis would be the best bet in terms of the tools already available. Not to mention the foliage. But I really hope that LWR stays with ARMA
