This. They want to remain this game as sim as possible. Even people say the speed of the game is too fast... go figure. What they dont know is that too much sim is no fun for a game.

how is specs demanding this triplehead thing?? Im planning in a future to buy three 22 inchers for a res of 1680x1050 and would like to know if the hardware requierements are 300% bigger than in a single monitor setup.

Youd dint play ofp right?? Try playing it two year later with a geforce 2 and a amd 1300 which was the top specs at the time... it wont go smooth. Mp will demand most of the game, new rigs to do new addons that will require more and more power. And i dont agreea about the cost thing. Anyone that bought a 8800 ultra in its time three and a half years later still has a card that can run every gamein high except for crysys and Arma 2.

wait till november. New octocore processors. New graphics cards. In my opinnion buying a new pc right know is an error.

I dont care a bit this a game, not real life. The problem with arma was that the anim at aiming was so slow and clunky the game failed at all levels. This games need and increase ins peed, i dont care only if its for sprinting, but running needs to be toned up.

Campers are a consequnce of the extreme breathing pulse system and that affects rounds dynamism entirely. Without so much campers due to the difficulty of aiming after running like in OFP it would change for good.

I agree. The slowness of the soldier is not realistic. Imagine putting thsi soldiers in any kind of amateur american football match?? They would get destroyed because in those you need fluid hips and fast feet, two things the soldier doesnt have and is not realistic preventing a nice cqb battles.

Guys people camp for a reason... and that is to abe able to hit something. its so obvious its not even funnny. The reason for the lack of fun is that in Arma 2 the aim is severly affected when your soldier runs a mierable 20 metres. Unlike in OFP. This favours camperism, which favours boresome and therefore lack of excitemet. In OFP you could actually hit something if you have been running, not in Arma. Therefore the lack of flags, if ppl want to kill something they need to camp every corner. This game will only succeed when the severe of the pulse breathing system gets tone down to ofp levels and ppl can hit something after sprinting. Right know it is imposible to play a urban ctf withput camping.

camperism in ctfs like hexkensel. Camperism is directly a consequence of the too hard breathing pulse system which makes the player not move so he can actually aim with some kind of stability..

Seriously this game improves at least 75% with a decent squad or clan and teamspeak. Im spaniard and my clan is www.clanedm.es and today i remembered days from OFP. That and install windows 7, the improvement is dramatic. Im running arma2 at high7medium settings at 1680 with a: e8500 and gtx275. MP is much better than the campaign. If you want to play the campaign wait for some patches.

I guess those people helped bis not to go nearly bankrupt and therefore rushing arma1 and releasing it in such a lackluster state. The games increase popularity if they have a friendly mp, with all that elitist coop crap and the poor graphics compared to dx11 in december we will see. Because the same crap was said for Arma and noone plays that game, period.

you guys with your elitist view of this matter are the ones that could make bis go into bankrupcy. I agree this game should leave itself in the gameplay aspect, but it needs much better optimization to reach the big public. Without big public there is no money, and without money there is no bis. And without bis there is no more arma2. If you dont comprehend such a simple business management aspect then i hope your work isnt anything related to economics. This game already has an outdated engine, speacially physics wise, if they dont put their act together, in no less than 6 months, specially with the coming of the new gt300 from nvidia and the octo core processors from intel with dx11, this game could be done for good.

Hey guys i dont know nothing about programming but i can state the obvious: Grid teh driving game makes my new gtx275 heat up to 90 degrees celsius. Arma2 wont even top 78 degrees. That must mean something.

But im not playing this game without high quality textures, medium objects and at least medium terrain detail with aa2x ( low aa ) I can live with normal shadows and low anisotropic but thats it.

Do you have fillrate at more than 100%?? Multicore systems should have an assured increse in performance. But it seems even on some peoples quads this isnt true.

Same problem here. gtx275 and a c2d at 3800 mhz. Those people obviously are lying about the fps or dont notice framdrops beyond 15

I really dont know. What can i tell you is that its not worth the money to change from a 8800 gts to a 275 for this game. I mean, with the 8800 i played everything on low, aa deactivated with minimun frames of 20. Horrendous, Ofp could look better at those settings. Now my Gtx doesnt even hit the medium mark with constant framdrops. Im downloading right know windows 7 to give a final verdict but i doubt a lot changes. What is your actual card?? An exclan teammate has a i7 920 with a gtx295 and windows 7 and he cannot max everything out at 1680x1050. So go figure.

No it wont. I have a e8500 @3800 with an abit ip35pro and a geforce gtx275 and cant even run it on medium with constant framdrops. The game is simply not playable at todays resolutions without uber i7´s and gtx285 or above in high settings.

Ill tryolder drivers. Im trying to determine my cards max overclock.
