ARMA 2 CTD but still running in Task Manager
Deus replied to Leopoldo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I have had very similar issues. CTC in multiplayer and very rarely SP. I had significant correspondence with a BI rep and he did acknowledge that they were not able to fix the memory issues with this patch like they hoped. He said they were working on it, and I hope it comes fast as I can't play this game without crashing. -
As title says, I constantly crash to desktop no matter the map I play. I have a AMD Phenom 9850 64-bit processory / 8 Gig Ram / ATI 4890 1Gig card with Asus mobo, Raptor drive. OS is Windows Visto Home 64. Really, Really frustrating.
-
ASUS M477 something, something board with Corsair Dominator kits.
-
Is there going to be any fixes for this? New drivers, fresh install, nothing works. This is so maddening.
-
temps are 100 percent ok. When do they expect 1.06 patch, and is ther eany word on helping this issue?
-
Well, with no fix in sight I guess I should try and get my money back. Game is absolutely unplayable. Game freezes, crashes, is pathetically slow, and all the fixes I have tried have had absolutely no affect.
-
No, haven't touched the settings. Wish my issue was that simple... Is this game supporting 64 bit chips, software, or multi-cored processors? I am running out of options and this game is unplayable.

Constant Desktop crashed - Out of idas

I ams orry for bumping a 6month old thread, but I am having this same problem. What is the 64bit crysis exe? -
I can't wait for this to have a key so I can stop listening to stock sounds on signed servers.
-
Chammy, love your work. Thank you for the time / effort. Will there be a key for this?

tonight, I tried the 3-way mission where you can play as Independant on N&S 00083: loved it. Was the first release of it and I love where it is going. Great work gents.
-
as the topic asks, has anybody made a playable warfare mod where you can also decide to control the Independant (RACS) or Civilian forces as guerrilla fighters? If so, can someone please direct me that way? Thanks.
-
Great news, looking forward to it.

Taking out a few slots from each side would be the goal to reduce the war on lag. To be honest, I am not a big fan of the fact that all you have to do to win Warfare is destroy the other base. Â It is still a great deal of fun, but I think set positions would be ideal with conditions that need to be met before you can attack the base (certain number of casualties, towns, time limit, etc) to force more town battles with players and AI not just wait until you can buy a heli to find the base. Â However, I like some of your ideas in regards to RACS / Civilian control with ambushing etc. Â After the base is destroyed you should be allowed to spawn to wreak havoc until the game decides a winner.

Doolittle, I enjoy your CTI mission very much. However, what I am looking for is a variant of the warfare editions out there on the full map that have a playable RACS team where you can build RACS weapons, troops, and vehicles or a Civilian (Guerilla) mod where the civilians create their own form of resisitance through IED's, etc. Or both I like the warfare model, but you are very good at making missions. Maybe you can be the one to bring us this idea?

I am more surprised that the AI Chopper actually shot at something.

Mando Bombs and Mando Air Support Console
Deus replied to mandoble's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
InitMission.sqf or Init.sqs You name both at different times in your post. Â Thanks in advance though, going to tinker with both. EDIT: scratch that, got it to work. Awesome guys, thanks for the help. -
Mandoble, This script is actually more in line with what I am trying to do with your support scripts in warfare. The support scripts, while freakin' awesome, are overkill for warfare. What I am trying to do is get this script going in a warfare edit (Warfare advanced 1.31) that allows me to purchase choppers / troops for my own personal evac / reinforcement force that allows the same effect as your support scripts in that regard, but the items do not just "appear" and you must purchase them to stay in line with the warfare theme. However, I don't know how to port these into a warfare mission since it is my basic understanding that you need each purchased helicopter to support the heli route script. Any way you can help with porting this into mission capable status for warfare or help lead where I have gone wrong? I have followed the install instructions but to no avail here. Thanks in advance.

Mando Bombs and Mando Air Support Console
Deus replied to mandoble's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
I am having issues that I can't find answers too in the search feature: One, when trying to port this into the Warfare Advanced 1.31 mission by Arma.is.great.org, I can't get the Air Support menu to come up. When trying to place this item into the 506th warfare mod with Mando Missles (Awesome btw), I can't get the air support dialogue to stay past the opening screen. When I enter a HMMV it I get a second, "Options", menu to open the commander screen. Sorry if redundant, but I couldn't find these items in with the search feature. What I have done so far: I have placed the correct lines into the Description and Init files. Thanks in advance, I have no idea how to script. Enjoy your work man. -
I posted this inside the wrong thread earlier. Instead of A.I. buying, or in addition to A.I. buying troops / vehicles, allow the commander to buy the assets and assign squads and plot what he wants them to do. For instance, buy three manned vulcans and place them to "Defend Town / base". Would love the ability to use Zonekiller's / Mando's Support scripts, but instead of having a Blackhawk bring reinforcements by default use of the script you have to purchase the blackhawk first and assign purchased troops / squads to the blackhawks to bring reinforcements. Then when you need them in a sticky situation or need reinforcements quick, you have assigned a set squad / number of Copters / Troops to serve that purpose. Same with CAS Copters and Jets. Purchase to set aside and use instead of just "Having" them because the script says so. Just like with Doolittle, love your work and hope you return.

(EVO)CTI Release Full Release of EVO CTI
Deus replied to arma.isgreat.org's topic in ARMA - USER MISSIONS
Is this the thread for Arma's Warfare CTI mission he made? If so, I would like to post the same thing I posted on Doolittle's thread as they are options I would like to see implemented universally: Instead of A.I. buying, or in addition to A.I. buying troops / vehicles, allow the commander to buy the assets and assign squads. In addition, the ability to use Support scripts, but instead of having a Blackhawk bring reinforcements by default use of the script you have to purchase the blackhawk first and assign purchased troops / squads to the blackhawks to bring reinforcements. -
I like it, Doolittle, very nice. Can't wait for you to keep adding to it. Something to consider, if you don't mind: Ability to equip custom loadouts for your squad Instead of A.I. buying, or in addition to A.I. buying troops / vehicles, allow the commander to buy the assets and assign squads. In addition, the ability to say, use Support scripts but instead of having a Blackhawk bring reinforcements you have to purchase the blackhawk first and assign purchased troops / squads to the blackhawks to bring reinforcements. Much more bud, but always like your work.

Finaly support pack 2 is ready for beta testing
Deus replied to zonekiller's topic in ARMA - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
zonekiller, if you are looking for additional testing, I would love the opportunity. The script is great. I personally prefer the map / radio interface, but would like the option with the binocs / laser designator to stay. -

in V2, I had issues all three sides attack Heli's not engaging a single target. Anybody else have that issue?
