    ArmA is just ... disappointing

    Well i dont really have a bad thing to say about arma,i love it like i loved ofp,What really impresses me is the community,an also the developers\community relationship ie,How BI keep you informed etc...... Dont get me wrong a few little things bug me like hand through the grenade launchers etc...(all the obvious ones) But 1 inparticular is starting to annoy me a little bit,Its the animations,not all just when i see someone running and i blast them in the back with say a sniper rifle or whatever gun,they stop then the death animation kind of kicks in,it annoys me a lot because ofp had a smooth transition,ie the man who you shot in ofp would look like he had been shot an fall straight to the ground like he really had been hit with a bullet in the back,i hope people understand what iam trying to say,that is probably the best i can do to explain it,damn my stupidity....     M107 Replacement

    Why dont you ask someone? I am sure many people would be more than willing to help you to learn how to make your work an addon instead of overwriting the original files. I am sure that if you would release your work as an addon more people would enjoy your very good work I cant be of any help though cause I dont know anything about that kind of editing.     Hi, But dont you need to 'unassignvehicle' aswell,well its different in arma to ofp,as basically iam making a mission with some paratroopers i have written a really basic script for the para's to eject - <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> s1 action ["eject",chp1] ~0.5 s2 action ["eject",chp1] ~0.5 s3 action ["eject",chp1] ~0.5 s4 action ["eject",chp1] ~0.5 s5 action ["eject",chp1] ~0.5 s6 action ["eject",chp1] ~0.5 s7 action ["eject",chp1] ~0.5 s8 action ["eject",chp1] ~0.5 s9 action ["eject",chp1] ~0.5 s10 action ["eject",chp1] But what happens is when they eject,they are told by the leader of the group to board the plane\heli again,in ofp you would put 'unitname unassignvehicle vehiclename' but this seems to hav no effect in arma at all,well i could be writing it wrong,not sure tbh,Has anyone got any ideas?     hi mate, Why dont you just get the object ID and setdammage the fence ie- (position gl1 nearestObject 161373) setdammage 1 GL1 being the name of the gamelogic,so basically place a gamelogic within 50 metres of the object you want destroying an then get the ID number and put that code in a trigger or whatever Hope this helps. Also i dont want to hijack the thread but how do i create an explosion? I used to do it like this in ofp - ordnance = "shell120" camcreate [getpos trigname select 0,getpos trigname select 1,100] But as you probably all know 'camcreate' doesnt work in arma,does anybody know how to do this in ARMA.     Hey guys, THANKS for this,i havnt tried it yet but im goin to tonite cant wait,Im glad you can all work together on such projects thats what sets the ARMA\OFP community apart from any other,as i come from the gtr2 community and more or less everyone is always at each others throats,apart from a few people who actually know the score.     Authentic sound & weapon Mod

    That's the M107, it was first introduced with the 505 release and later brought to all with patch 1.05 @ThePredator: Downloaded the mod and gonna try it out over the next days. I'm using FDF sounds atm, but don't really like the reverb on most of the weapons. Thanks for doing this and keep up the good work. THANKS matey,Dont know how i didnt actually realise this .     Hi mate, First off,nice maps i love em,I was playing 1 earlier tonight and i noticed that you could use an M107 .50 and an M16 with acog sights,I was wondering if i can use these weapons in mission editor as i love the M107?
