hey all, ill be honest,i have no idea what any of this means,iam planning on building a new comp as my last 1 died,i have only just got back on the internet after a long time away,i didnt even know arma 2 was out till a week ago,i nearly wet my keks when i seen it had been released. So iam going to build a new comp,BUT and its a big but,i dont really understand all this quadcore and overclocking and stuff,i have read many posts on this forum and all over the internet but am still non the wiser as back when i had my comp it wasn't all this duo or quadcore stuff,now there seems to be more digits to the chip etc which i dont really get. I just need a few pointers really like im going to get 4gb of ram tomorrow,i should get ddrII ram yes? And the pistol bug on some of the units aswell Not complaining matey as i love these units,i would jus love to see them 100% bug free. Is ther anyways i can help with the pistol bug,I dont have any modding knowledge but if theres anyone you would like me to contact or anything i can search though id be more than happy to help,just let me know All the best Dan

Keep up the excellent work matey All the best Dan EDIT - Ive just tried them,had a look at all of them,they are excellent but then when i picked up a pistol and switched to it,i could not see the pistol in some of the freedom fighters hands but the gun still fired,but not with all of them just certain ones,apart from this they are mint.

wow im very very impressed by what i see,apart from the fact tht on 1 of the pics,the soldiers hand is still sticking through the m203 launcher,hope they will fix this so soldiers will hold rifles with grenade launchers properly,thts sumthing tht really annoys me in arma But all in all,its looking fookin amazing,impressive. Hi mate, To destroy buildings on the map if this is what u want to do can be done like this (position gl1 nearestobject objectnumber) setdammage 1 gl1 - is the name of a gamelogic which i think needs to b placed within 50metres or sumthin of the building u want destroying,but u can name the gamelogic anything u want that was just an example.... objectnumber - is obviously the ID number of the building u want destroying. As for fences etc....If you have editor update v102(i think) u will find fences etc....in the mission editor under empty an im pretty sure they are not destructible for some reason,cant remember but i think AI will still just walk through them as if they wernt ther,again not 100% on that but im pretty sure thats the case. Hi mate, THANKS,jus what ive been wanting,love the aimpoint,i really wish all of the BIS aimpoints wer like this,as like i think u mentioned the orig aimpoints suck balls an are extremely annoying to try and fire at someone medium- long range cos the dot is bigger than the lil sh*t who is lay down blammin shots at me an i cant even see the bastardo properly. Is ther anyway i could add ur aimpoint in to replace the standard BIS aimpoints or not? Also,fook me why a big debate over what the gun is called lol,ffs,yeh fair enuff,its a military sim or wotever to an extent like,but i mean cmon,for gods sake u all cry bout 100000% realism or wotever and the game aint even tht perfect,i mean for example grenadiers hands are stuck thru the grenade launcher and thers many many more reasons but i shall shut up now haha as this aint the place for my pointless rant (had a bad day ) Dont get me wrong tho i absolutely love ARMA,my favourite game ever,THANKS to BIS and just as important Mod\Addon makers and scripters and everyone else who contributes to this game Anyways THANKS pingu. Hi mate, First of all THANKS for this,its excellent,i merged ur example mission into my own mission,removed a few things,just the title text etc.....An also the markers,now i was wondering if the markers need to stay in at all as i hav had unpredictable results as sometimes the planes will bomb and other times they wont,i think i chose the right direction etc...for them to fly in from,I also cant have close air support either,i take it,this is why? Yes definately, As thats the case with a fair few mission editing routines. You can be very precise ie- 1.1 or 1.2 etc....etc........ You will have it in no time at all - this setpos [getpos this select 0,getpos this select 1,1.5 etc] Hope it all goes well for you.Altho just remember if your going to be puttin a static gun in a house on say the 2nd floor an that house gets destroyed,the static weapon will still be floating when\if tht house gets destroyed so you may have to look about for detecting when the building has been level'd so you can either delete or re setpos the static weapon or objects. Hi, THANKS for the replys all,I fired up standard arma with no addons or mods and yes i see the weapons now,I actually cant believe i didnt think of that ,im using loads of addons etc....THANKS to all addon\mod makers Now i have to find out which 1 is causing it,gonna take a while i think Once again thanks all.
