    Hello Johnnyboy, Been following your AI mod for a while now.. Great coding here for sure. Any chance you can make your unique mod compatible with The Forgotten Few 2 scenarios (there's also a Prairie Fire scenario in KingN's fantastic series)? The team AI likes to get fixated on targets that can't see our AI, and you know how that goes. So much for quick hit and runs when that happens. I know it's a lot of work but I can throw in a donation to you for your time if you like! If not, I understand of course! Takes a lot of time and work. Beggars can't be choosers on my end *haha* Either way, keep up the great work brother.

  4. Yes, having the same exact issue here. Sometimes it works, and most of the time unfortunately the option to use artillery says "Unable to fire" then the artillery option disappears completely as if the artillery is destroyed right after the call. Not using any heavy AI mods, only LAMBS Danger and CF_BAI. Thanks for any help. Just wanted to add, this is easily my favorite scenario KingN, keep up the outstanding work Sir.

Wasn't sure where else I should post this, or if it has already been posted somewhere else...but I just barely received my copy through the U.S. Steam and I have no idea where I'm supposed to place these new ArmA 2 addons? If anybody can, could they please point me in the right direction or if this info is in another thread that I may have missed, feel free to post that link. Am I supposed to use that 3 command line workaround or something? Thanks in advance.

    As far as I know I have no idea why your guys are getting injured from the rappel, I'm guessing it could be from your use of mods or lack thereof. I had the same problem on Armed Assault so I know what that's like, makes it almost unplayable. I play using TB's (You're the man Thunderbird, plz work for BIS one day.) FFUR FYI.

    Considering the great Honchoblack is nowhere to be found..I was wondering if anybody knows how and where I would look in this mission's code to implement an in-game load feature at the tv screen? A feature that the GDCE and Tonal mission has? That would make this mission completely functional again. I have some programming experience so I'd like to see if I can fix this thing myself. Thanks in advance. P.S. I will not release this to the public as to break Honchoblack's "copyright", this is just to see if I can get this mission 100% working on my PC and maybe give it out privately to a couple of fellow OFP players who play this mission as well.

    Damn, if only the load feature would be implemented from the Tonal "Sonora" campaign so we can load up from the tv screen. I would literally never stop playing this. I always get the CTD error when loading from a previously saved game

    The campaign Dynamic War has an improved way of helo insertion/extraction...the screen simply goes black while all soldiers are loaded up/dropped off...not sure if you'll take this as constructive advice but just trying to help deal with the faulty chopper insertions/extractions as I myself have had these problems when I was making missions for VBS1.     British SF Desert Dynamic Campaign

    I've been attempting to play this campaign and for the times I could get it to work it's been a true blast....however the AI pisses me off on constant accounts with its stupidity...I can't get it to get to the right ammo loadout as it tends to just want to go to the ammo box that is easiest for them to reach, I can always load up a jeep or vehicle then drive it outwards but this is just a time consuming way of doing it..I truly miss the old OFP loadout "notebook" and getting them to bring out what I want them to carry is a major pain. Â Also, the AI pilot takes forever to land when I tell him to, and sometimes carries on flying around for about 3-5 mins only to get me shot down by a SU34 that flies by or even ground fire that takes out all my friendlies...sometimes the AI pilot will just crash into the side of a mountain while it's circling looking for a spot to land. Â I've been playing this with the 6thSense mod and this has really improved the engagement range of the friendly AI, if it weren't for the stupid AI's failure to loadout correctly and the AI pilot things would be great. Edit: I am using v1.1c of the campaign

    For now I would say we should check out these lines of code for the time being...for those who play single player, just go into your my documents/arma other profiles/user name/armaprofile file and edit these lines so you don't get hit by super accurate AI under "class Difficulties" for whatever difficulty you prefer... <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> skillFriendly=1.000000; skillEnemy=0.750000; precisionFriendly=0.700000; precisionEnemy=0.350000; }; I hope that more servers can start using this edit as well, it would SURELY help those who play Evolution, these are just the numbers I use since my friendly AI get killed so much, edit the precision values to whatever seems the most realistic accuracy to you of course. Â For servers this config can be found in server.cfg, these same values should be in there as well...at least we can do something in the meanwhile to tone down this AI madness...for single player users, plz note that you must play a couple campaign missions for this value to finally appear in your profile if you cannot find it initially.. Edit: Â I have realized through more internet research that SimHQ is already using this idea in their server, makes me want to signup with them and see how their server works..for a more detailed post about this situation plz visit 1-8th General Discussion Forums, at least this code can be deemed as a temporary fix until BIS catches up and makes them a permanent value with a patch for the accuracy matter.

    I agree with Misfitko and Second, I feel that BIS made this tradeoff to less intensify the already horrid load on our PCs that we are enduring...I definitely would like to see this hearing toned down just a slight bit, considering I do have a Core 2 Duo CPU and a lot of ppl don't yet (or AMD equivalent), I have an easy bias to say that I would like to see a beefed up AI that can utilize more CPU calculation...all in all, BIS plz slightly tone down the hearing of the AI as well as tone down their impossible accuracy, I don't like the idea of killing one of their squad members with them automatically knowing where I am after that only to get hit even when I'm supposedly hidden..I'm sure many won't argue with that, the AI is dangerous enough as it is..

    Usually it's for mission makers to throw in some commands for use by the ppl that play their missions, i.e. an Extraction command where a script will call for a UH60 pickup upon activation when selected.

    endless crashing?

    What ati drivers are you using? I solved this problem by cleaning out the new drivers I had for my ATI then reverting to 6.7 catalyst, give that a try if you haven't yet.
  23. I agree with Warpy, because of the 7.5 hotfix I feel the problem of the leak still lingers after 20-30 mins of play for me, as I usually crash back to desktop after that timeframe. I'm once again going back to 6.7 where things were much more stable, I don't think it's the new patch in this case for me anyways..

    ATI Catalyst 7.5 hotfix for ArmA leak

    So I take it j_f_oko and me are the only ones this hotfix didn't work for? Anyone else have problems with the 7.5 hotfix out there?
