yeah good one Loki. but i agree with some things. they could make more detailled models, and use more the normal mapping, to avoid lags. take a look at the normal mapping for UT2007 (Distributed Computing Normal Map Generation Tool), i know , it's not the same game, the same engine. it's just an example. http://www.unrealtechnology.com/html/technology/ue30.shtml at the bottom of the page. but, i like already Arma. -

i need help. if someone is interested, send me a pm. why i need help? because it's too much work, i can't do all by myself. it is very long to make textures. for the moment i remade 3 times the mapping of the Scarab, which have a particular shape. now it's good. i begun also 2 soldiers, who need new legs. but i'm not sure to keep them. yes i know, it's not really scifi. but remenber, the project is a mix between modern and old stuff.

when you work with 3dsmax, forget o2. make your textures in 3dsmax and after import them. i don't understand why you want to use o2 to texture.

my big problem will the path lod. because all the buildings will be separate to create differents complex

thx. i begun the soldier: exactly 2 models. the basic shape is the BIS man. i keept my first idea, even if the soldier is not scifi like BF2142 or Halo. it's different.

lol; this is a lot of month of job. i have: - some vehicles - no soldiers (wip) - no buildings - no repair vehicles and i still learn all the needed stuff for Arma grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr yeah, if you want to help, np, but i can't do all the textures, you need to "learn" or "improve" your skills. or you make just make a basic, that would be easy to improve. but that need a perfect mapping. if you could use wings 3d, that would be perfect

after a brainstorming, i decided finally to keep, the old tank, i'm going to change some thing and also the textures. idon't know for the APC. but the old jeep stay in the trash, i don't like it. should i create a mini-mini-mod?

no coax dude, i don't like that. yeah i thought that too for the apc, well for the moment, i don't know, maybe. but it's clear, if i use the tank to make the apc, i could keep the textures, and this is a good point. i would win hours of work. but i have already this one:

it's not difficult to make that, i learnt with some tutorials: - pslover - tutorial outpost - good tutorials and after i tried during a long time. i'm not born with photoshop in my hand if you want i can show you some old textures, you will laugh

if you use Sketchup. make real buildings, with real windows, and real doors. Sketchup is not a toy. Before doing something, learn how to use it. i know, i'm harsh. but 3d modelling is something hard. it's a job, you need to learn the basics stuff. a good modeller is not, only a 3d program. no, i'm not boastful, because i'm like you, i still learn. -
