for the moment, I like all the features (seen in the pics or in development); but one thing annoys me: - the lighting on surfaces is too much shiny; in this picture http://www.arma3.com/devblog/Hephaestus_Arma3_screenshots_forums_001.jpg even the clothes shine. And a color even under the sun keeps its tone: a blue stays blue, it doesn't become white. Maybe the specular maps used should be more grey than a full white. this was already like that in arma2 , even the fur of the cows shines!!!. In my opinion, this brightness destroys the effect of reality. A soldier with a uniform that looks like a projector is a little too visible:p -

all my support goes to the norwegian people. Norway is for me a great country with a great people, and I always dreamed to live in this country, so I am truly saddened. I just hope that one day all the fundamentalists (christian, muslim, etc etc), will stop this kind of act whom kills innocents, and goes against their beliefs. this is sad to see a guy from a country killing his fellows for nothing. And guys like him shouldn't forget that all the europeans are not christian. Personally I'm atheist and proud of it. @Vilas, i'm from france, and i'm not proud of the revolution of 1789. The portuguese revolution in 1974 is a better example.

seriously, personally I don't like very much SGA, in my opinion, this is just a copy of SG1, without a certain feeling. but I liked very much the episode when Teal'c met Ronon, just funny :p in fact I prefer the SGU characters, I mean in the season 2. they don't use the SG franchise crappy humor

finally all the hedgerows are done. now I can put my efforts on the houses :) the textures are not perfect but at least they match the ground. now the last problem now is the bridge. i don't succeed to put them correctly on the map.

sorry mate, but I won't use Linker's buildings, they have too much faces. And for now I'm bored by the hedgerows, I must rework the half of the models and the textures. As they are essential for the map, this is my priority for the moment.;)

an object for the map: a big haystack where you can put an MG (the texture and a part of the model are from Linker Split ww2 addons, I have just replaced a part with an other one. The previous part had too much faces for this kind of object) :) btw: there are no news about the houses\buildings; because I spent all the time at fixing a problem with the hedgerows. btw2: And I try to make usable the tractor from Linker Split addons. (less faces etc etc), and also I want to make it usable by the units. A quick view of the map: objects: - mapfact -batling bitch -reworked -new objects, new textures (ww2french objects by unknown) -retextured FAB's trail -Jojimbo's vegetation

this is really a shame to think that this show is cancelled. the characters are more and more interesting, the story too. i don't understand how they made 10 seasons of SG1, with the crappy Ori, Merlin etc etc. I'm from Brittany, and I hate Merlin (he is from my culture) :p And they don't let a chance to SGU :(

they could break their own Eula, at least like Prof said it for the 10 years of OFP. Only old addicted like us, still play at ofp, and that would be a nice gift for us. Maybe the ownership could be a problem (BIS or codemaster?).

I wanted to know, if a release of these old models (the soldiers) would be possible for OFP: http://ofp.gamepark.cz/index.php?showthis=8749 I don't know if BIS still have these models, but that would be a shame to keep them in a drawer :p

hi, I made some modifications on the soldiers for creating the 50th Infantry division (Northumbrian). This is totally unofficial, this is intended only for waiting the return of FAB. modifications: - selections cleaned on the models - added BIS faces to avoid the clone problem. FAB made a lot of faces, but i don't know how to use them. - soldiers have different ranks (put on the uniform, division arm patch added). i didn't use an alpha channel, because this wasn't very nice. - wound textures added - some little modifications - eventhandlers removed (camera stuff etc ) I use also the INV44 beret for the officer. I just repainted it in black (wound texture added too). I didn't ask for the agreement to use it. I don't think that they will kill me just for the use of this little object:p I'm going to add more soldiers later, as I work on a leather british jerkin. ok now the link: http://www.multiupload.com/MVCNX0LKP6

a new stuff for the map; this is a reworked trench from Pacific mod. it was really a pain in the ass to fix the problems (firegeometry, geometry, textures, roadway etc etc). Soldiers can walk correctly in the trench, unfortunately, they can't walk on the top, because I had to add a mass at the interior walls. the vehicles can't move on the top of the trench; I tried to make that possible but with the mass of the walls; that doesn't work. Maybe a Master of the BIS selections would have a solution objects used: BatlingBitch's military objects EDIT: sorry, in fact I won't use it, because the fact that the soldiers can't walk on the trench, is too much annoying. I'm going to make trenches with separated parts.
