I had to reinstall ArmA recently so I re-did the install for the immersion mods from scratch. Originally you had a modified core.pbo for the ECS part of the mod, and I understand why you changed that. Now however i can not reload in the middle of a mission, I get an error about the missing components from this install. Mentions the quiet.pbo and the armory.pbo. Your modified core file took of that in the past. Anyway to get around this? Also, from me not understanding that the Fidelis Marines and Cameron's units are a -choice- between the two I was using the Marines thinking I was using Cameron's units. No biggie, but it should be noted that if someone goes with the Marines option their default load outs for missions will be different. I had to use a grenade launcher instead of a sniper rifle on the early optional mission where you shoot all the soldiers in a convoy you ambush Also special ops get these time bombs in their inventory that don't actually do anything. Plus, I'm not positive on this, but going with the marines seemed to negate your new dispersion settings in the difficulty config for the enemy and friendly units. Enemies where still all highly trained snipers that could shoot a flea off my shoulder as I landed in their hot zone from the seat of a Blackhawk on a stormy night. Now that I'm using Cameron's units they actually seem to miss once in a while I've only played the sanitizing mission three times since swapping the units, but it does seem different. I'm not missing SLX soo much now.. seems the ECS AI is a bit more aggressive now with the un-mod'ed core.pbo file. -

Yeah, I've been following this and the SLX thread. What you have here in this thread is phenomenal.. there's just a few more nice touches that SLX adds, the biggie being the AI of course, that's spoiled me now -_- It's ability to use vehicles aggressively etc just makes the game seem so much more alive. I'm gonna work on my own hybrid of what's offered here and what can be done with SLX and stripping it down to something more modular, and of course keep tabs on what you pro's can pull off. Thanks for making ArmA the game it really should have been. I had shelved it till now.. now it's looking to be my favorite game in my collection I'll go shut up and play now -

The effect is gonna be more or less universal.. only the image quality as a whole will be different amongst different cards. That's usually just a case of sharpness of the entire screen for the most part, not one thing looking more glowy or what not. You have the best of the best in terms of image quality atm. Had an 8800gts 640 meg before my 9800 X2's (yeah I play crysis >.> ) AWEEEEEESOME thread by the way. My only complaint is I got everything running and loved it, then I tried out SLX .....the mod'ing just never ends. -
Try downloading the mod and unpacking it. You may be able to reverse engineer the how to of disabling the radio chatter. I haven't looked at the mod myself, so can't say for sure. Edit: By unpack I mean un-pbo it if it uses a .pbo file. Speaking of which, I don't know if this is being addressed with the next possible patch, but I'm gonna look into re-adding the old ECP explosions over the current fire effects (or lack there of ). Not sure if it can be done but I remember Y2K3 had both sets of (older) explosions working. It's about the only gripe I have with this mod.. shooting a helicopter with an RPG and watching it crash nose first into the ground as the pilots proceed to eject unharmed and shoot me is bad for morale.

Wow, I really like this one. It's not too bright with my settings (Brightness 1.6, Gamma 1.0), and the real win being that it works with anti-aliasing. I wouldn't even use the other one because of that issue.

The term purrrfect is subjective and therefore anyone stating claims that the mod may infact be purrrfect are not subject to proving such a claim. Purrrfect not applicable in all states or countries. Some restrictions apply. Check with your local authorities about terms and conditions relating to purrrfect.

Thanks! This is the config I was using (and adding custom units too) before I wandered away from OpFlash for a little while.. now I'm back and found I had lost it. And yeah, I searched freaking everywhere before posting that request. You rock!

Morrowind did this exact same thing too. It's an lod of sorts but instead of decreased geometry detail in the model, it's fewer frames of animation being rendered, thus freeing up the CPU a bit more.

If they add that all the speech should be in that same broken style of talking that's already in the game. "I'M going to grab somelunch at 12 O'CLOCK!" And yes SLX has dynamic speech as well now... thus so does the new FFUR (Which has some SLX features integrated).

Same boat as well. I've tried fixing it every possible way I can think of, but, as stated, if a unit is in the ECP's core config file it can't have an eventhandler if you want it to have ECP effects. And technicaly your first line should be "class EventHandlers : ECPEventHandlers" Though it doesn't end up makeing it work. -

It could be the eventhandler in the config file. You'll get that when the eventhandler doesn't function and the face from the facestex2.pbo file isn't pasted onto the mesh. It's a llauma head mesh with a standard OpFlash face texture on it instead of one of the new ones. -

You and I are in the same boat. Changeing class "Eventhandlers" to class "EventHandlers : ECP_EventHandlers" doesn't seem to work within a unit replacement config. Neither do the various "_this call..."'s. I'm guessing your units with the non ecp-grenades also don't talk to each other. I'm trying to integrate the Faceplant units into my ECP config. I did a thorough, clean line by line replacement, removed his config.cpp from the pbo and everything works fine (nv goggles included), except the units are not "ecp units". They behave as if they where in a non ecp config. No timed grenades, no talking, etc. -
On King of my Castle from PMC Fury campaign the game will start to chug as it goes along, eventualy reaching single digits in frame rates and crashing (like a memory leak). The save point once you initialy clean out the castle takes a while to save. Euro pack doesn't have this problem.

Sorry, but when I look at the squished together units that ride by in the bomberman mission... the BMP looks more like it's a VW Bug when it's in the center of the screen. These people who are complaining don't hate the mod, they want to be able to enjoy it. It would be nice if changeing things on this scale be made optional. For me it is -not- realistic to be able to see that wide an angle on the same sized screen. It distorts the shapes of the things your looking at, it's like takeing what could be rendered on a widescreen monitor and squishing it to the shape of a 16:9 monitor. To each their own, but there's obviously enough interest here for people to either figure out the fix (which apparently is not soo easy), or even better, get some word from the mod crew on where to look in the config or patch it. Not a demand, it would just be nice.

Since the latest FFUR wasn't quite to my tastes (and now chokes on at least one large battle, "King of my Castle" from PMC Fury), I've learned how to config addons into ECP. I've looked at the sctipting for Faceplant and I'm -considering- importing your units into my ECP config, but I thought Id check here first if you already have something in that department...? I only ask because there's mention of an ECP compatible config on the front page. Thanks in advance! -
Capture the Island. How can i change the FOV i get shot through fog its no fun The FOV in question has nothing to do with AI's visibility. It's the FOV you get in 3rd person view, therefore no effect on AI The first person FOV has also been changed to a "fish eye camera lense" type view, it makes things a bit ....odd. Especialy when you rotate.
