H&D2 and Viet Cong aren't even in the same category bro...besides that Viet Cong just sux there isn't even really that much of mission variety you were either following Nhut down some trail or...following Nhut down some trail and let's not even get started on those tunnel levels..OMG what a waste of an hour. And I HATE a game that is supposed to be based on combat operations where if you lose a teammate the mission fails..what is that about? And friendly AI sucks they can't shoot and spend most of the game saying pointless "one liners" about the vc when you get into a "fire fight". H&D2 on the other hand has LOADs of pros one being mission variety..omg I bout wet myself over the UDT-style missions, there is something just awesome about watchin ur AI teammate silently take out a sentry, and I love the stealth needed in some of the missions like when you insert into norway and have to meet up with the partisan. the ability to cause any enemy AI to surrender (given the right circumstances), MULTIPLE ways to carry out a mission..shall I go on? H&D2 is prolly the best tactical game sense OFP came out period...Vietcong is great coaster material and nothing more

oh yeah...thas nother great one..not exactly "tactical" but definately a good one..prolly my fav non-military shooter and it's freaking funny too

Hidden & Dangerous II ...hands down is the best tactical FPS out there..its so immersive and entertaining. I think it's one of the few tactical games where the AI isn't cannon fodder and can be used to knife another AI enemy. Viet Cong SUX's ASS I can't believe anyone likes that game...the levels are boxed in, the AI sux and you fail missions just because a teammate(who doesn't really even help..)..goes down. I guess the concept overcoming and adapting never reached that dev team. But I like most are going crazy waiting for Brothers in Arms to come out..I expecting BOA to break new ground, also the H&DII expansion pack will definately worth a visit to the local EB Games

the good vision requirement for pilots is for one simple reason..TO CUT DOWN ON APPLICANTS..I've met alot of senior officer pilots in all branches that now wear glasses and are still on flying status. Once you gone through flight school and proved that you are capable of flying(and the military has spent millions training you) wearing glasses isn't that big of a deal as long as you can pass the vision test with correcting lenses or PRK. You'll also notice over the years the vision requirement have dropped to less than 20/20 uncorrected over the years I believe the airforce now is 20/70 correctable to 20/20 because earlier vision standards kinda came back and bit the air force in the ass and they didn't have enough applicants coming through the pipeline..the Navy and Marine Corps have followed suite

the standard issue rifle for the U.S. Army is still the M-16A2 ..this has been discussed on this forum more than a couple times, not every single soldier in the army is walkin around with an M-4. I too have heard and have atleast one friend in the army that has seen squad mates with M-16,A4 versions, I don't know if their going into common use or not..or it might have been just a mis identification..but I'm 100% sure about the A2..they'll be around for a LONG time in the Army.

the helo looks good and that new russian helo pilot looks GREAT!!

my only request is that seat are put into the cargo cabins like in the original BIS models...as far as I know UH-60s always have seats in the cabin unlike the "special use" blackhawks and pavehawks that usually have the taken out. A new pilot model would be nice too

yeah, there was definately enough fire coming across the bridge..I got wasted the first 4 times I tried to get close to it you might wanna adjust the placing of the heavy machine gun at the rear entrance though, your AI teammates are pretty much wiped out everytime with no chance of returning fire..I dont know if these was meant or not..

M21, not saying ur completely wrong but Kerry's duty did include supporting special operations forces so how would u know definately where he did and did not operate..SOG and other special op units made NUMEROUS incursions into Cambodia and Laos...and they didn't get there by walking. And that region was not patrolled soley by PBR's..where u got that I have no idea... he might have or might not have been there no one on this board knows for a fact so trying to argue about it is pointless

It's a crying shame the Navy is letting the Tomcat go..she'll be sorely missed. I'm still one of those guys that think its a MASSIVE mistake..the super hornet is a capable aircraft but there are many things the Tomcat can do the super hornet can't like carry the phoenix...it may not be needed now but with all these wars and possible wars popping up..who know?
