    Config for FFAR rockets

    If I remember correctly only use L Raketa and P Raketa as the engine will not support another label, you have to use the standard BIS label format. The only time you can use normal english labels for another custom animations, like wing folding, door open.

    Quick question to anyone that had the second beta addon, can you please post if anyone still has it, if so I'll try to get it off you. This would speed up the progress of this addon being release for both OFP:R and ArmA, and the development of the EA-6B Prowler. I've managed to locate all the referance material, and the very first version of the Intruder that never made it to beta stage. Looking forward to a positive reply Â

    Script error on mission load

    Yep, same here. Turns out that only one AI had the incorrect script name loaded, took me 1/2 hour to locate which one. Thanks guys.
  4. Ok here goes, have made mission with urban AI script, nothing wrong here. I can run mission with preview mode in editor and on local mp mode. But when PBO loaded onto web server off-site keep getting script error unable to load. The PBO has scripts and other required files included in itself, there are no folders inside PBO. I've search for an answer and chat'd with m8's about this, with no luck. I've had no issue with making mission with scripts in OFP. An I missing something?

    For some reason ArmA doesn't see the script inside the PBO.

    There is an line in the CPP that can be adjusted to move the 3rd person view around, atm I can't remember that code line. Have a look in the OFP editor forum it's in there somewhere, wish I could help a little bit more, but it's been a few years since I last did any CPP and Addons.

    It is possible, but you'd need to find the script in the OFP:R section of the forums to do it. As for no passengers, you could mod this script so the "if passenger mounted no lift capablity available" or make an addon CFG to add an new BH using the same models, but with an config that only has 2 crew and 2 passengers (side gunners).

    how many times do I have to say it.... HIS AI WAS IN THE PILOT SEAT, he even admitted it..... WE HAVE SINCE REPLICATED IT OURSELVES WITH OUR AI AS PILOTS Most AI is capable of driving/piloting any vehicle/aircraft. This is an feature of the game, not the mission. If an player want's to use an AI to pilot an AH-1 it's up to him, most players would use an player over AI due to the faster reponse to commands and ablity to think. Sure there is the situation that this can allow an lower range player to use an vehicle he/she can't use normally, but at the cost of delayed movement commands and poor driving/piloting skills. There are a large number of issues with the AI pathing. eg. Just jump into an truck and tell the AI driver to drive from point "A" to point "B", if there's an bridge on the route.... well, most of us know AI has problems with bridges even on foot. The AI pilots have isses too.

    I'd subjest you have an read of this as it talks about how OFP:R and AA armour rating work. And this talks about armour vs damage. These are old forum topics but both should cover you questions very, as this are what some of the realistic weapon mod's are based on.

    1/ not sure. 2/ next to ammo crate near mission hut you can recuit AI's of type and # depending on you rank. DragoFire

    yep 14km from base in sea. Also had issues of squad leader lossing squad control for TK's and screwing up mission rewards for other squad's leaders. I've had this happen tonight for the first time due to an poor pilot squad leader, completed 5/10 mission successfully and gain no mission points should of had 146 by this time but only had 46, not taking into account the Search and Destroy pilot recovery 8.5km behind enemy lines. No helo support not good.
  15. Also remember the better ranked AI pilots do better than the default ones, might pay to play with pilot setting when you put your units on map locations. DragoFire

    Killjoy hate to say it but the WaterPatrol mission bug is back in 1.4e again. I know alot of players that love the -1 pen. and time-out for 60sec. for team-killing. After all this is an Co-op and not and deathmatch. We have on our server in NZ, players getting into Littlebirds with-in 30minutes of joining the game. You just have to remember there are other ways of getting points up fast than assualting town. Keep up the good work Killjoy, don't let the negitive post get you down.     Killjoy I have a question for you about mission. Last night while testing 1.4b with Aussie_Dave, we have an player by the name ImBack join the mission and run some command, which now of us were able to find out what it was, but it instantly killed all players and destroyed every vehicle, building, soldier and odject around each player, one town was almost wiped of the map (due to most players were hunting AI enemy in it), at this point he just left. You know if there is an player nuke script running in the mission that admin's should know about ? As this upset everyone on the server and had to restart the mission to fix the vindictive act of one player. Hope you know of a fix for this!

    That's the half fun of it, you have to use the ones from the main base or the few you get from forward bases or captured towns that have them.

This is from selecting the Water Patrol mission. After leaving mission hut, no waypoint is available and if you travel around the area where the 3 boats are normally spawned in nothing. I'll check some of the other missions a bit more and try to get more info for you killjoy to fix the issue. DragoFire

    KilJoy [sFG] have you thought of tieing aircraft access and Armour access to the crew (pilot/copilot/tank crew) type from the classes from within config file? This way you could allow these classes access to the lighter vehicle at start of game. You could also possibly apply this to weapon use too. eg. Sniper class has access to the M24 at start, and has not access to MG's and other classes have limits too. Like crews can't use MG's or sniper rifles, but have access to pistols and M4's and HK's at game start. Just an idea.

    Proxyservers monitor the data going through them,checking IP address requests against it's list of "allowed" and "not allowed" IP address and also web content in it's cache. These take CPU cycles to check and the more users using it increases the time delay. Talk to the campus IP team and as if you can have access through,they may ask you what port if their going to pin-hole an pipe for you.

    Checkwith the campus IT crew, I'm guessing the campus firewall has an proxey server monitoring all traffic.

    Cannot Play Multi-Player !

    Now I've been looking into the issue of player dropping from multiplayer missions (not the gamespy server lobby issue,which is in another more detailed topic,as listed above inone of my posts),one thing I've noticed is that any mission that has "spaces" in it's name tends to cause this issue. For some reason the "spaces" are changed to "%20",now I know this relates to browser, but not sure why it'd act the same in AA's multiplayer mission cache. I'll test this a little bit more to comfirm this. If anyone else notices this please post your info.
