Yea, but the new auddrvpack.exe can't even be downloaded from creativelabs site. Â What's up with that! Â I have to tell ya, there support sucks a BIG one! Â Give it a try, see if it will let you download it, and if it does, please put it somewhere where others can get to it. Â Thanks.

Let me make one thing clear. OFP is the first of it's kind. BIS embarked on a daring mission that went beyond the mere arcadish-style video games such as BF1942. BF1942 is an arcade game for kids. OFP is for those whose appetites need more than another arcade video game. It is truly the first major attempt at creating sophisticated virtual-war using low cost PC technology. BIS deserves a lot of credit for taking the risk they took. And whether they succeed or not, OFP will become a classic for the mere reason that it forged the way for the rest of the virtual-war market; which has yet to even approach what BIS has already accomplished. I am 40 years old, and have two teenage sons. I have introduced them to both games, and after playing BF1942 for a while, they both went back to OFP. I have exposed them to more sophisticated games and now even as teenagers they see the difference. I spend more time reading about games than actually playing them. However, I have spent a considerable amount of time playing OFP. I just hope that BIS will continue improving it. I am a computer software engineer and program flight simulators for a living. I appreciate simulations such as OFP, because I have somewhat of an understanding what it takes to create them. Trust me when I say there is no PC war simulation on the market today that can even come close to offering what OFP does. And I will be very surprised if there is in the next year. It all boils down to how many people out there are even capable of recognizing a game like this. IMHO, the true devotees to this game have a deeper insight than the average gamer because they want something more advanced than just another stupid war-game. I don't like wasting my time just playing arcade games. That's why I play OFP.

I have the same problem. I have an Intellimouse Explorer Optical. It has two thumb buttons, primarily used for going forward and backward when surfing the internet. OFP will map the backward button, but not the forward button. I have never been able to solve that problem.

Stupid me! I was thinking that a full-server was a complete server, and I didn't know what a complete server was. That's hilarious!

In the multiplayer filters screen, can someone tell me what it means to show/hide full servers? Â Thanks.

Nevermind. Looks like I finally got it. Tough mission.

I start the mission with 4 tanks: 1 BMP, 2 T70's, and 1 T80. Â When I get to the town of Bludov, there are two tanks down the road to the south that keep destroying me before I can even get to the final town, Modrava. These tanks are really hard to kill. Â Can someone give me some pointers on how to beat this mission. Â These tanks just keep obliterating me and my crew. Â Thanks.

I have a few questions about VON with Resistance: 1. Does anybody know who is using VON and what dedicated servers they are on or what clans they are? 2. Is it true that the in-game VON does not work with 1.75 sockets? 3. If the answer to question 2 is true, then what is the most popular 3rd party VON software being used for OFP:R. I currently have Roger Wilco, but do not have TeamSpeak. I also have read that RW may not work with sockets, but I don't know. 4. Are VON and VoIP one in the same?

I am planning on upgrading my GeForce3 TI 200 64Mb card to a GeForce 4 TI 4200; but would like to know if it would be worth it for OFP:R to pay the extra money for a 128Mb version of the card instead of a 64Mb version. Could I expect to see a performance improvement? Could someone tell me how that onboard memory gets used as opposed the CPU primary memory when playing OFP:R? Thanks.

I just installed OFP:R under WindowsXP on my AMD Athlon 2100+ system. Â I'm using a GeForce3 TI 200 with DetonatorXP driver 28.32. Â For some strange reason all the character strings and fonts in the game are very fuzzy, even running a 1280x1024. Â The in-game graphics is very sharp and clear. Â It's just the character strings are so blurry I can hardly read them. Â I had this same problem when I installed on my Pentium4 system, but the problem went away and I don't know why. Â Now I have it on my AMD system and can't seem to fix it. Â I've tried all different resolutions but no luck. Â Please help. Â Thanks. Also, I notice that when I have hardware acceleration enable in the game for sound, I can't hear my M16 fire. I'm using a soundblaster audigy X gamer PCI card. I had to turn off hardware acceleration to get that to work. If that is a know problem please let me know that too. Thanks.
