I'll be going to the RAF Cosford airshow on Sunday so I'll keep an eye out for one. I did encounter their crash tender when I was working up there in February but I was too busy trying to get the van I was driving out of it's way to notice what it was.

What's so difficult about a tank monument? Â Took about 15-20 minutes including finding the right textures for the base
-
No joy so far, can't even find a picture of one
-
Excellent, I've been hoping for a Catalina for a while
-
I found a Nogovan Flag Pack over at opf.info are these the ones you meant? Get it here
-
Here it is, it's dated 15/06/2002 on opf.info @Klink - Is that the arse end of a Beetle on that trike? Can't wait for the pack to be released, even though I'm not a big fan of hogs, I've got this urge to cause some trouble with them, oh and to park a load of them close together in a long line outside a bar and then kick the end one ove and run like hell!

Excellent stuff, I don't suppose there's any chance of you making the Orca is there?
-
Slight delay, will upload them as soon as the UKF site is back up and I can get at my filespace again.

Found a pic of such a monument, it's part of the Russian Monument in Berlin apparently. I seem to remember seeing a fair few monuments like that in Egypt along the road between Port Said and Cairo close to the Suez Canal.
-
Nice, it should fit in nicely with the existing Nogovan buildings too
-
Just an idea but how about a T55 or BMP on a concrete plynth as a monument along side the road somewhere? Possibly to mark the site of the first tank battle against the Russians?
-
Looks like it's still there I spent a week working at RAF Cosford in February but unfortunately didn't have time to look round the museum I've got pictures of Duxford's Pucara which I can post when I get home.
-
Have you tried opf.info they've got most things.

Fandabbydozy   (guess who's running out of ways of saying how great this stuff is looking)
-

The tanks used were Yugoslavian M4A3 Shermans retro fitted with the 76mm gun as I found out from the site linked above (interesting reading and surprising how long some stayed in service) Anyway I see from the list that you are planning on doing a Sherman Crab, have you made a start on it yet? And if so do you have any pics of it? I might have some pics of the one in the Tank Musuem in Bovington, as well as the Sherman DD, I'll see if I can dig them up and post them

Thanks for steering the topic back on track before we get another bout of flag waving. I think the intention is to make the bayonet script available to those that want to use after v1.1 of the DPM pack is released

Thanks, I find the hard part is knowing where to draw the line in how much detail to actually model and how much to leave to the textures, it's all too easy to get carried away adding lumps and bumps and then ending up with a huge poly count. I think I've now got more pics of Land Rovers than is really healthy (around 600 now I think) a large number of which I've taken myself. I've got some pics of the LRPV I got off the net ages ago when I made one from my original Landy beta I can send you if they'll be of any use.

I understand some of it but the rest makes me want to sit in the corner and flick my finger up and down past my lips going "bibble bibble bibble" and I've got a degree in computers
-
Excellent, looking forward to these

Very nice, and well done on making your first addon  I agree with Jaguar about the dip in the bonnet, it is rather noticable and I think modelling it on the UKF Landies was only an extra 7 faces.  Pic of modelled bonnet (I've put it in as a link as I don't want to seem like I'm taking over your thread, it is after all about your Land Rovers) One suggestion I do have is that you might want to beef up the winch and hook as they look noticably 2d at the moment. @Jaguar I think he's got it right, after looking at the pic below, while they don't have the civvie spec surrounds they do appear to have some form of surround on them. You're quite right they do use a 6x6 version of the Perentie as well as the 4x4 although strangely I don't think they use the 90, I don't think you can even buy a civvie 90 in Australia. Ambulance Long Range Patrol Vehicle *Edit, changed pics to ones that work.

I'll download it with my 56k no matter how big it is
-
I got it, just didn't see it until now

I was very impressed by the early beta you sent me many moons ago, I say go for it!
