    Your coolest MP kill?

One of my first flashpoint experiences in CTF turned out to be my favorite kill. I instantly fell in love with this game. Playing a ctf map I was in a jeep and had just grabbed the US flag and was on my way back to base...low and behold the road starts exploding behind me, then I see the cobra overshoot me...I crapped my pants on the spot and started looking for cover. The cobra was already coming around so I didn't think I had a chance to make it into the forest (i'd probably crash anyhow), so I gunned it down the road for a near by town. The cobra wasn't flying to high and got on my tail, and followed me into the town, I turned behind a building and I watched the chopper turn to slow down, sliding sideways through the air right into a church tower BOOM!

Why not just call it what it is?

I think a major problem with racial tensions lies in the divisionary nature of a great deal of the black leaders arguments. Martin Luther King said:" Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must ever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline." recompense for slavery 200 years ago...at the cost to tax payers seems a little like bitterness to me. Hatred? Just look at Farakahn, and some of Spike Lee's speeches. as well as: I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. Sure we can sit at the same table, but from watching Al Sharpton talk on tv it seems the stigma of white people as "the man" and not a brother, is still there. The sad thing is that despite MLK's efforts segregation has only moved from being sanctioned, to being natural (if you can call it that). Talk about an imperfect world? What are you gonna' do about it?

    Soviet - afghan campaign

Yeah I hear that Chan, few of todays generation (of which I'm a member) know the evil which lurks in the heart of men. It saddens me how little most people pay attention to world events, or worse how apathetic they can be. People think that the things that happened in WW2 can't happen any more...and yet theres Milosevic in a war crimes tribunal. How long America sat back while Hitler was being emulated in Eastern Europe, because opinion polls showed that we Americans don't care about the world until somebody pisses in our back yard. Of course when we do get involved, the world raises objections, it's hard enough to get this country rolling in any direction in the first place with such a diverse and usually divided populace, the adage "United we stand, divided we fall should be ammended.."United we act, divided we ignore". Another thing to someone elses post: If you replace such a broad term as "Afghans" with "the bad guys" referring to the actual threatening elements within an entire country, you might not come across as if you want to kill innocent people. ON TOPIC: Saw "the Beast" as it was called on the action channel. Frikk'n brutal movie.

Oxygen not being freely distributed online!

Although I feel that not being able to release Oxygen sooner rather than later is a blow to the OPF community, ya' can't really blame BIS for it. They are after all a company, with bills to pay, and lives to finance. They should do everything in there power to profit from such a kick ass title. Since there are works in progress such as Independence Lost and Resistance, it probably wouldn't pay off to release the tools which might allow modders to compete. Why fork over cash for an addon if you can download user made versions of it's content? Not publicly releasing the tools leaves BIS with control over what mods get made, BIS legally has no obligation to support any mod/the OPF community beyond the Software Agreement. Personally I applaud their wisdom, they're pretty high speed with patches and free additions, I can wait.

    M21?

you'll notice m21 accuracy is best from a prone posistion. Why you'd be in any other posistion for firing is beyond me as you'll look like a man wearing a bush instead of just a bush. When standing my shots tend to be high of center even under medium ranges. I crouch, the bullets come down. Go prone, and It's ez shootin.

    M21?

Aiming and firing is only 1/2 of it. After you learn how to shoot the m21, it's time to learn how to setup your shots. foliage IS your friend. A bush looks mighty suspicious when it's crawling around all on it's lonesome. So when you move, use cover, and if you see the enemy STOP...next to muzzle flashes and gun sounds, movement is the quickest way to give away your posistion and make you dead. Also, it pays to know where the "game" is...so look at the mission map during load up and find things such as med tents, sought after vehicles, flags, resupplies, and roads...setup with a good view of the area and wait. Be patient, and make your shots count... If you really want to have fun, just shoot out your opponents legs...instead of having a surly opponent coming after you in a tank, he'll be stuck bellycrawling around in the middle of the map...ez pickings if you get bored waiting for the next target, or a teamate to finish off. GL, happy huntin'

A-10 over SU25 I base my choice on design. The A-10 is built to dance with the dirt. it's more easily serviced, and has better chances of survivng moderate tripple A, or even a close encounter with a light SAM. On the topic of fighter aircraft overall? F-22 hands down. It'll be easier to fly, out perform, and incorporate more advanced avionics/radar than anything out there. Stealth defeatable? Not yet...you don't burn through stealth. The aircraft's "skin" absorbs part of the signal, deflects even more, whats left isn't going to show up on a 6x6 inch radar indicator. Getting the first shot off goes along way in establishing the outcome of an aerial engagment. I think the SU's manuverability would be hindered by the F-22's missiles which are able to track and fire at targets at high angles of attack...let alone the Raptor's limited vectored thrust capabilites. Trust me on this one, Capitalism builds better weapons...give Russian aircraft designers a few decades to catch up and get back on track. (oh yeah and $300billion budgeting research for development)

    Patches

Any chance of an auto-updater/full upgrade patch in the future? I can never get upgrade 4 to patch successfully, keeps calling up errors. I've reinstalled the whole game 5x, including installing each of the upgrades, but always get errors on the last one.

The Codemasters Mission Compo is over!

Personally I didn't really enjoy Firelord, but I did appreciate the presentation. Although Vastly superior to Change of the Guard, it felt more like watching a bad movie than playing a good level. -Bond is Coming-
