Hi. I just reinstalled windows. My games are all on a separate drive, so they have been relatively untouched. Is there any way to enter OFP and Resistance's cdkeys and install info into the registry without having to go through the whole install process? Regards, DF

Thanks very much. -
The problem: The mouse middle button works to activate the actions menu. The wheel scroller fails to function, however, requiring manual keyboard navigation. The solution: The mouse exhibited this trouble when plugged into the PS/2 mouse port of the computer using a USB->PS/2 adaptor. The problem disappeared when the mouse was connected to a USB port instead of said PS/2 connector.

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Hotwire @ Aug. 20 2002,20:24)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">DestroyerX: I think the command is different in Win2K but I can't remember what to type in the run menu If anyone can help...<span id='postcolor'> Well, you can try hacking the registry yourself. (If you are familiar with this only please!! Tis a dangerous thing to play with your registry if u do not know what you are doing) The key is "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" There will be a value called "EM_EXEC" under the a/m key You can delete EM_EXEC and the data it contains. When thats done, EM_EXEC will no longer run. (Do NOT delete the entire key! You will screw your system big time! Regards, DF -
Mouse wheel fails to function (logitech mice)

I've heard that Logitech claims "no tech support" for people using the PS/2 adapter. How sorry can they get... They charge fairly big bucks for their mice, and don't give support Perhaps thats the reason why their drivers have not fixed the PS/2 incompatibility. BTW. I get the same probs playing Morrowind with the mousewheel. It plain suxs... DF -
Well, the issue is not cracking it, but reencoding it. The save file can be decoded by one of the two desqm tools used for decrypting the official campaign files. You get perfectly readable code. Herein lies the catch. The game *will not* read the decoded material, but tries to decode the decoded material, which naturally results in junk. A way around this problem is to edit the save file using a hex editor that supports inserting (and of course changing) bytes in the middle of the save file, to get you that extra toy or goodie you may need. Use a LGB instead of a tank shell. I created a suicide truck bomber this way. The blast is big enough to kill most units (even M1A1s) in the vincinity. Have a mission demonstrating this if anybody wants it. DF

"TAB FIRE TAB FIRE TAB FIRE" Just keep doing that with your Hellfires. You have 8 missiles and only around the same number of convoy vehicles, including the Shilka. After you overfly the remnants of the convoy, turn around and walk over the remains with your FFARs to get rid of survivors. You won't even need to engage the Hind and SU25 this way (But that wouldn't be fun ) Keep some of your FFARs for these. The gunner is completely screwed at machinegunning.

This was a really interesting mission. I did most of what was said earlier, cept that after I disabled the M1A1 using a satchel charge, I drove the repair truck right up to it and had the thing repaired. Viola! Massive firepower and heavy armour... All for the cost of one satchel charge. Good riddance to the M60s. Of course, I had to evacuate when the other 4 M1s came charging. DF
