    If you copy all the p3d files from Flashpoint into your viewer/data3d folder, you will be able to see the proxies in bulldozer.

    the parallax error is due to your config file I'll bet. for weapon optics, you set min and max fov, and you also set the ranges for min and max. THat's how BIS made the M21 be able to adjust impact height as you zoom the scope. take a look at that. If your settings seem ok, then you may need to manipulate your optics model to change the orientation of your textures relative to thecenter of the model. You may also need to adjust your textures.

    Definitely mils. If you use a final angle of 3.14, you will only get a 180 degree turn. If it were radians, that would have been a full circle. the minimum is of course 0, the maximum is 6.4

  8. I know alot of you are new to Oxygen, and you probably don't know what BInarize even is. However, once you understand it's value I hope you will all see how great it is that BIS has released it to the public. Be sure to show your appreciation for all these great tools BIS is willing to release. They do it for all of US! =) P.S.: Binarize will greatly reduce the size of your addons, and also changes the format of your models so they can not be reverse-encrypted and stolen. THis is kind of bad for the community tho, as we all learn alot from the addons that people release.

    PROBLEM SOLVED! The difference between the two models was that the one on the right had only one resolution LOD (it is still under development). I did alot of manipulation, changing the LOD numbers, adding LODs , etc. The bottom line is: IF YOU HAVE ONLY ONE LOD, YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLE. I knew this already, of course, because no modeler in his right mind would only make one resolution LOD. WHat I didn't know is that the model would behave oddly if it only had one LOD. So, aspiring modelers and those of you who are experienced but did not know... If you are going to test your model, make a second resolution LOD even if it is an exact copy. Then you won't have this problem.
  13. Take a look at this: I created both models the same way, and checked all named properties, etc. I found nothing wrong or particulalry unique with the one that isn't working. However, all special effects are not showing up in front of this model. It also has very odd behaviors with headlights. Anybody ever seen this happen with your models? Is there a solution?

    they are both definitely defined in cfg.models. And this is true for all effects, not just smoke. Quite odd, and frustrating. I don't want to release these in this state of affairs.

This forum thrives on discussion and sharing, not information leeching. Be sure to post the answers to eachother's questions if you know them. If you don't, everyone will start avoiding this forum. Leeching ruins things for everyone.

    and you dare not let geometry handle your walkways. you must use roadways for that, ensuring that the roadway is slightly above the geometry. For greatest effectiveness, use roadways for all horizontal surfaces and only use geometry to prevent crossing of walls. No need for geometry below a flat surface, because you will be walking on the roadway. proximity of geometry to any place you wish to walk will cause jittering.

    Maximum number of components is 128. after that they are ignored. Maximum size of any geometry LOD is 64 meters. Beyond that and it is ignored. For an aircraft carrier you must make it in sections.

  24. I remember when these forums were bustling with activity, sharing knowledge and generally all working together to share the knowledge. Now there's nothing but one-post threads because nobody is willing to discuss the issues anymore. Are you all so selfish that you can only ask for information handouts and not give anything in return? Where's the community spirit? Now I'm not too happy with some of you noobs asking simple questions that are answered in other threads and the FAQ. THere's alot of info already on the forums. However, there's alot of information about making addons that's not being posted, and I know for a fact many folks here know how to do many things that isn't being shared. I know because I've seen their addons. If you know how to do something important in O2 and it's not already posted, SHARE THE WEALTH and help the community develop. There's no honor in being a leech.
