I would like this to be picked up by one of you admins that actually has a say it what goes into OFP, now i realise this is a dead and buried subject but i find it still a pain in my side when typing to make maps....now the reason this was re-called was because of cheating factors...now what im asing you is why not have something that checks if a player in either in a vehicle with invulnrability or there is a human in command of an AI in a vehicle and that would disable allowdammage.....im talking its SO ANNOYING having to work on a script that respawns ammo crates etc just cause some newbie runs over them or the enemy has placed some satchels on them and sent them to there maker.....what i need this for doesnt really matter, but im sure that BIS have the brains to enable this feature.... If someone cheats in singleplayer who the hell cares...they are cheating themselves, but multiplayer is a different story, if u cheat there your pissing everyone off. All I want to see is the editors of this comunity comunicate a want to BIS and have them concider it. We really need this....(as any one editor will testimate in trying to keep something alive in multiplayer) It aint really that hard when u think about it....I cant understand why they havent re-enstated this, its well overdue... I know there is createvehicle and createunit, but frankly they dont cut the mustard, u need something to work 100% of the time in multiplayer, not 90%, its just not good enough. Please respond on this issue BIS, i mean as long as no "player" entity has control of an allowdammage active vehicle or unit i cant see how u could cheat with it.... and think of the bandwidth saved by the loss of all the alive "whatever object" triggers..... Hey guys, ive been respawning vehicles in multiplayer for AGES.....im surprised know-one has actually figured this out.... its dead easy.... first off u dont place the vehicle u create it on mision start...so its important to keep respawning vehicles to a minimum.... I have had a maximum of 16 vehicles respawning with much success.... Basically u need to define vehicle global variables IN GAME so that when u delete the dead vehicle it doesnt come up with an error, also u cant create vehicles with Global variables already being used....(derrr). The reason I worked on this is so my AI could still be ordered into vehicles etc after they had died..... Ill explain how i do this in detail..... Ok u need to create a naming convention cause it can get rather confusing very quickly.....im currently working on a way to do this with preproccessed files, maybe make it better for multiplayer. (although this does work in multiplayer to a degree....im going to be stuffing around with some of the new commands to see if i can fix the one little problem i have with creating vehicles on the fly.....(problem being u cant get into them for the first 10-40 seconds of the vehiles life, just seems like it doesnt update until 10-40 seconds later) OK u need t place a pad or whatever u use to get the position and direction of the unit on respawn..... here is a list of stuff my script does to create a vehicle.... "NOTE::> all vehicle names MUST be placed in 2 scripts" first being to initilize the vehicle at start and second to wait then respawn the vehicle when destroyed or when it cant move or shoot... 1. Initilize vehicle by creating it with the variable name to be used through out the mission.... 2. Once vehicle is destroyed u need to either setpos it away or delete it.... Â "NOTE::> 1.75 and previouse u had to raise the dammage to 0.9 before deleting or u would end up with smoke coming from nothing....if your respawn time is longer than the smoke is there disregard" 3. Create new vehicle on original pad or new position.... Cool thing is u can have battle waging for HOURS....i mean DAYS really..(really cool) also u can have AI using these vehicles with some clever scripting.... maybe u need to destroy all AA before a jet can respawn....all u do there is create the init at the trigger instead of the start of the mission..... Ive made maps with 12 AA and 4 jets that respawn same as the AI controling them......fireworks for ages....cool to watch....

Can someone please make a tutorial / walkthrough to make one of each type of model (static, air,flora,soldier,etc) When i say start to finish i mean have a tutorial that shows how to make each model then set up there corosponding LODs and then finally texture it, also pointing out any useful hints in construction models of that type along the way. As a new user to Oxygen im quite surprised at the lack of good documentation on this program, I have had a go at trying to use Oxygen but i have found that the tutorials out there (How to create Cube, M16) have things in them that Oxygen Lite cant do, eg Extrude. It would be good if we could have either the documentaion that the mod makers got for there copies of Oxygen or we get some new documentation, this isnt a flame, far from it, i just would like to see some documentation that walks you through the construction of models. It would improve the quality of models being produced and therefore addons being produced, and in the long run would improve gameplay due to the increase in quality of the units being used and seen in this wonderful game engine. Thanx for releasing Oxygen BIS but can we have some documentation made for the people that are starting out with it.... Thanx

they dont disapear, they move to the upper left corner of the map.....zoom right in and u will find them

I would recomend 2 ways to ge out of this..... 1. spawn the plane in the air and put a pilot into it.... 2. createvehicle the unit

Hi Guys im guessing u got this problem because your men have died and then have respawned with 1 clip of ammo, if so go to BD Productions webpage www.backoff.ch/ofp and go into the scripts section, there download a script called ReloadGuy, it is a script that reloads the units on respawn with the type of weapon of your choice... It stops the AI from asking for ammo for a while anyway....until they run out of ammo again....

Ok making map 101... in the OFP directory there is a user directory, enter it, then enter the directory that match's your username. Then go to MPmissions...u will see the name of the all the maps u have made in the multiplayer editor in this directory...now. Enter the directory and make the description.ext in there.....make sure the extention is .ext and not .txt you can double click on the .ext file and assign notepad or wordpad to open it...thats it...done...put the data given above into it and watch yourself respawn.... Hope this helped...also if u want to look at a good example of this go to www.ausflashpoint.com and download Sniper 2v2...Its my second full mission....its a cool mission with intro and outro.... dudes im talking about how u pick the group when u start playing the game. Of course i know it must be done in the fucking editor fuck!.... im talking about how to have only one group of men playable and have them show up as Delta Blue not alpha red or whatever!!

Is there a way to change the group names before actually playing the level??...ie, i want there to be only one group playable but i want it to be Delta....instead of puting each player into alpha....so before the game even starts, i want it to say delta....god i hope u understand
