I just got this new pc of mine which has these specs: Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz (4 CPUs) Memory: 2046MB RAM Hard Drive: 250 GB Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 Monitor: SyncMaster T220HD/T220MD(Digital) Sound Card: Realtek HD Audio output Keyboard: Logitech Media Mouse: Logitech HID-compliant G5 Laser Mouse Mouse Surface: Steelpad 4S Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.090206-1234) As taken by xfire, so. The problem is that I can play Counter-Strike Source at 300fps, Ins Mod at 250+ and Far Cray 2 at around 60 (did the test will unraring files). But when I play ArmA (with all settings at the lowest they can get) everything goes wrong I have a total number of 14 humiliating FPS so whats the problem? This is not normal of course. I don't have the most powerfull system of the world but since ArmA is a 3-4 year old game It must have the ability to run it smoothly, also at my other system which runs with a 3.2 AMD and a GForce 7800GT gets higher scores around 25 FPS (in 1.08 With the settings at the high level it reached about 35). What do I do?

I dont get it, if you get the game original whats the problem?

On the one hand I hear people want a realistic game on the other hand I hear people want fast-rope and all this kind of bullshit. Guys the point is to have a serious gameplay nothing else matters, I hope that now the game is finished the programmers included what was needed and removed bugs etc. Dont expect to see much from just a better ArmA1. We saw a warfare video... Anything else about the multiplayer part of the game? Game modes? Maps?

Me and my girlfriend decided that we should have a console as an entertaining theater (watch movies, play split screen games and pro evolution soccer with the guys etc) Well ArmA2 and OFP2 are coming for console for which of the two consoles they both come? Cause I want to buy them both also anyone knows if these two games can be played over the internet with PC players?

First I know pilots who have claimed that they would never want to fastrope excpet if its night when they highly overpower the enemy. The "gunzZz" of a helicopter can do shit when you don't know the enemy. Lastly you overprice the US Military. They have guns but also the "other guys" have guns. Even in somalia Delta could not win the skinnies.

fastroping is never used unless the enemy IS CONFIRMED that has not even 1 weapon above 7.62, its totaly useless even attacking a ship is more preferable to do it by rubber boats with oars. Every soldier that fastrops needs 5 seconds for the next one to follow, for safty reasons this means 8x5=40 seconds a helicopter flying defenceless about 12 meters from the ground. I also cant see where this could be used in this game. In conclution:

No maps = no players, you can try on the filters and type on the mission name berzerk and play that crappy map, but its the only one here to save the day

Well ArmA had a very important problem. The PvP part of the game, there was absoloutely no PvP. There where only some PvP maps that had serious bugs, like Sector Control where in the OpFor when you died you couldn't respawn. Anyway those maps where bodge. Ofp and ArmA need some maps in order to promote the PvP part of the game (warefare is totaly no PvP). A PvP mode that will introduce the gameplay of Battlefield2 with the mix of the realism of ArmA. In order to have a succeded game you have to draw the intrest of people playing it, so they will keep playing it and buying expansion packs (unlike that of Queens Gambit). When I see interviews all I see all is talking about Warefare. Well warefare has no intrest of playing in a pro gaming level (where is all the fun if you ask me ). The way to draw attention of big organizations like ESL to launch cups, ladders etc is to have competition. Whoever doesnt like this kind of gameplay can still play warefare and evoloution no.4324320 So still we (and i speak behalf a big number of ArmA and OFP fans) want to know will the game finnaly support PvP modes? Or we ll have to wait again for individuals to make crappy maps in order to play the game, if we are going to get it finnaly. Well I borrow the game from the video club if it has multiplayer maps and players playing them, if now I wont even play the game. Then I will see If it is going to get in ESL if it will I might buy it.
