I got it working now. I had to take off the anti-virus software from my F-Secure. I bet the problem lurks in Suckarom protection. -

Hello everyone! My problem is that when I install ArmA 2 and try to run it nothing happens. I have also noticed that after install when I put in the disc and the autorun box appears, the "Play" option is marked with gray colour, resulting me being unable to click it. While checking the error logs I noticed that every time I have run the game, it has caused an error and the game has crashed without any specific reason. Has anyone else encountered this problem and if one has, how has the problem been solved? I have tried to patch the game from the boxed version to 1.02 but this hasn't solved the problem. I have also tried to run it as an administrator and in compatibility mode with different Vista and XP versions. Phew, I hope that's all I can tell about the problem... edit: I also searched for Bohemia Interactive folder from my Registry files but it is not there. Could that be the reason my game is not starting? edit2: Managed to find the folder, so don't mind the upper edit -
Well, I couldn't find the errorlog at all. Do you have any picture in your mind where it could be? And for the -maxmen, no effect. Also tried with 256, 768 and 1024. The same CreateIndexBuffer Failed message appeared every time or then the game just crashed the other way I described..

Hello! I bought the game 2 weeks ago and I was very saticfied to it even though it lagged quite a bit for me with versions 1.04 and 1.05. Now when I installed 1.08 everything runs smooth and almost lag free. But.. Everytime I start playing, and after about 3 to 5 minutes of gaming the game crashes and gives either this "CreateIndexBuffer failed (8876017c)" message or then a window pops up that says ArmA has detected an error and the product must be closed (the window throught what I can report errors to Microsoft..), no idea what causes this. Both of the errors happen without any warning. What should I do? System specs following: Mainboard : Unspecified P4M266-PM12-TL Processor : Intel Pentium 4 @ 2666 MHz Physical Memory : 1024 MB (2 x 512 DDR-SDRAM ) Video Card : ATI Technologies Inc Radeon X800 Pro/GTO (clocked with ATITool from 475/450 to 532/483; latest drivers installed, yes also the ATI hotfix..) Hard Disk : ST3250620A (250 GB) Hard Disk : WDC (160 GB) <-- The disc that ArmA is installed on Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 5.01.2600 Service Pack 2 Ps. Soz if this has been asked before, I didn't find anything relative to it (except the CreateIndexBuffer failed) with search tool. Pps. Should I search for errors in the log files? Where are these log files? EDIT: I usually play with settings set to default or low/very low..
