  1. Thanks Nick, but I already know all of that. It was hard making this thread without sounding like I know nothing about modding in general. I'm talking about the "technical" parts listed above. For now, knowing where the .cpp files are would be good enough
  2. I always had the excuse to wait for AA to come out so I could hold off from modding OPF. Now I have it (Czech version converted) and would let to start modding. I've modded games before, so all I need to know is the steps I would go through to do the following: Place a house/hut somewhere on the map with a guy inside who will execute a script when you go near him. Whether this hut is a building that already exists in AA or one that someone modeled; either way is fine. This is just a random idea I made up as an example. What tools would be used for each part? That sort of thing. Keep in mind I would like this to be a standalone addon/mod (PBO), so I'm not looking for any easy ways out; like placing a guy in a building which already exists. By the way, I thought scripting would be used to add in new weapons or change the game behavior but according to all the tutorials it's just for making custom scripted mission events. What do you do/use to hard-code something in or really change the game? Thanks so much! Where can I find the one for Arma?
