I used to be around these forums with another account ages ago and remember reading about this anti-piracy system which I believe my system has fallen to recently.
I do own original titles of all three games (bought during their original release those years ago). Back then I had a problem with Resistance expansions cd-key, the six page manual just had no key printed in the end. And without ability to get a refund, since our shops around here had nothing of such a good policy, I obtained a key from the internet.
Now, that did not stop single player experience at all, and I knew that firsthand anyway, thus I never pushed the issue.
But now, years later, I tried playing Flashpoint through LAN. The thing is, we both installed from the same discs. Everything was fine, but after a while FADE messages 'original games do not fade' started popping up. Is that because of the same cd's installs on both computers? Or is it because Resistance did not have an original cd-key?
If it is the first problem, I'll just go and obtain another copy of the three games (which is at a bargain price these days), if the second, then I have to obtain -two- new copies, which would be problematic.
Of course, I could just wait for the next-gen Flashpoint coming out next year, but I'm just curious.
Thanks
