sirex, that is a known problem and it happens to everyone. Maybe it will get better with dedicated servers.

I belive the literal interpretation is "If you want peace then prepare for war" with my limited spanish, that kinda sounds like If you want peace, for/ in order to war... at least if this case of "para" isn't demented, twisted evil latin...

I can see your problem. Mine is that the "increase/ deacrease thrust" doesn't work with the throttle on joysticks... at least not on my saitek aviator... Damn, I had just gotten it to work with FSX, too. And of course, the demo crashes when you change control settings...

+1. Also, on the M2HB, i love sitting there with the ammo red while it reloads while I have a belt with ammo feeding into my gun and my guy is still sitting there, but apparently reloading, and silently, too...

I join a coop server, play, get killed, and then while choosing weps before the round, I select a wep like the SAW and the M9, and it takes about 5 minutes before anything shows up on my loadout, and a8nother 7.5 for ammo. 50% of the time after I've clicked on the wep and dragged/ pressed "take" I wait 5 minutes and then I crash to desktop to the "ArmA demo has encountered a problem...." windows bullshit. Any fixes/remedies yet? AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.21 GHz, 1 Gig RAM nVidia 7600 GS with all updated drivers etc...

also, the 5 ton should be able to push over most trees except for the really big ones. I know lumberjacks who use their m35A2 2 1/2 tonners to push down full grown pine trees...

If this is a "simulation," then why does the M923 5 ton have a shift-pattern decal and shifter lever in the cab? Pic: (Left arrow is decal, right is lever) btw: the decal reads: R 2 5 N 1 3 4 yes I know 4th and 5th gears are switched, but thats the way the trannsmission is in these type trucks from the 2 1/2 ton M35A2 to the 5 ton M923 and the older M813. the cab should look more like the one in this picture (linked to): http://www.easternsurplus.net/339m.JPG

strange, I always have the best results with servers with 1 box. I can't join 3-box servers...

yeah thats my big concern. I live in the states and I'm considering DLing it, yet, will we be able to patch to the English version when it is released if we purchased a non-english copy?

Post your tips and tricks here for flying helicopters in ArmA! To start off with, some really n00b stuff that I have notice some folks don't know: To slow down/ stop, RAISE the nose of the helo. The quicker/higher the faster you stop. Watch it, you need to evenly rock back and forth else you will start flying backwards! Most helos have a better view with more visibility. Go to free look and look around to find the best view and then untoggle freelook. If you need to tell AI to get in your helo, go ahead and hop in and let the engine spool up. While it is warming up, tell them to mount up. This is also a good time to check your map to figure out where you are going.

make sure you have hardware acceleration turned off in sound settings. how do you display what FPS your getting? it isn't that bad with "normal" setting for me: AMD 64 X2 4200+ nVidia 7600GS 1 Gig RAM

I searched... but what all vehicles can ya drive in AA? Are you able to hop in a pickup truck sitting at a gas station, a tractor on a farm, a sedan on the side of the road? Or just the M900 series 5 tonnners and the other MVs?
