After about 30minutes of ODOLing BIS models and checking their textures, I have discovered the culprit. kuzel_svetla_p1.paa Change this file to transparent. Also, you might want to rewrite your flare00.pac file with a transparent one too, I find it works 100x better (no artifacts). Glad to be of help.

ORCS released an update putting their animations on their units. He's talking about that. They can be added onto ANY unit via the addon you have.

I never create missions without a larger storyline. I can't do 1-step missions, they have to have a sequel or compaign. What I usually do is think: Why is there conflict here? (if the mission is about conflict - I have made at least one good non-fighting mission - 8/10 OFPEC) What is the most realistic way this is likely to happen? Can this be done within OPF? Lag? Realism? What are the particulars of the mission? Where will this take place? What will the weather be like? What units are involved? How will the units move? Will I recruit custom voice actors, or do them meself? Am I likely to use custom music and sounds? Is there any special addons/scripts/features I am likely to include? Are they necessary? Can I script them? Lag? Then I get started.

Agree totally, D@ve. But, Combat! are mostly VBS guys now, aren't they? Besides minor updates, of course.

If an addon is made "properly?" Last time I checked, there was no "global" concensus on what is a "proper" addon, or a gigantic table of armour values for every single addon in the world for people to look at (CAVS is close, but not perfect). Ontopic: Stryker is looking damned good, Vixer. Eagerly waiting for it!

What do you mean "absorb damage?" All units can absorb damage. The infantry don't just die if they get hit once in the foot. Please clarify.
