Agreed. I also hope that the new engine makes standing characters less sore-thumbish (ie, they stick out less). Even when you were hiding, if you stood in OFP, it was like they could see through barriers.

So... you "gain" the ability to change characters? I'm intrigued! Not to press the point too much, but is it possible to not gain the ability? Man, I wish I was in your shoes, lucky, lucky guy.

You make a good point. My main concern lies in the mindset of players who will be playing AA. For example, if the player can take hold of a scout, and has no idea where the enemy is, they can simple waltz him in to enemy territory as a nice living bait, then take control of the mechanised infantry squad's officer and steam roll the place. Having multiple "lives" makes a wargame a lot less tense, and would probably (IMHO) make players a lot less concerned with saving their own skins, as one would in real battle.

Anyone can make their own addon-less version of ACU troops, or any troops for that matter (that don't use textures from another source). Two words for you, buddy: Config. Editing.

If they were good enough in Flashpoint, surely they're good enough in AA. I just think being able to change characters defeats the whole purpose of a simulation - what's the good of playing as someone in a war zone if you're expendable, and can simply change bodies after you kark it? Anyway, enough trolling from me. I'm sure someone (if not BIS) will have the means to do away with this "feature."

Does anyone feel like punching the monitor and/or sound card because of the crappy and annoying "BEEP BEEP" which both preludes and concludes each radio snippet? It sounds like someone's playing freaking Pong in the background. | . | I hate Pong.

I agree with everyone else - that interview should be read in a monotone, it's so bloody boring. And damn, they'd better be able to turn that character switching off.

Agree wholeheartedly. I also hope there's a program that checks for CS and BF2 on the player's hard drive, and kicks them out of multiplayer games and/or displays an abusive message if either are detected. Seriously, however, I want an editor AT LEAST as detailed as OFP:R's, and I want to community to remain strong and cranking out them addons.

If they would give the troops ACU armour covers and ACH helmets, I'd be very happy. If not, I'm going to do a little work when the game comes out. I agree with the above comments - nice patrol stance.
