If swapping CDs only occurs during installation, I don't mind. That said, I've got a DVD player, so I don't mind either way. Anyway, anyone got any ontopic statements?

At the moment, I'm working on an elusive yet highly regarded ( ) project called Operation FacePlant. While it has yet to have a thread concerning it, it's getting pretty close to being alpha status. Problem is that the motivation just isn't there sometimes, knowing AA is just around the corner, and FacePlant won't have a place in there. Once AA comes out, I'm likely to ditch the whole thing and work on making a far better campaign than BIS will include. (I'm looking forward to making missions again, rather than simply editing addons). EDIT - I like your idea very very very much!

I find in most games that the sounds are easiest to change, add or delete or overwrite, so my vote is with graphics, since if I can usually fix the sound.

Good luck saving as a TGA in Windows Paint. Yeah, GIMP gets my vote, though I use PSP9 most days.

The picture needs to be at one of the following sizes, and it needs to be saved as a JPEG. 2x2 4x4 8x8 16x16 32x32 64x64 128x128 ... etc etc ad infinitum. Or any combination of these, eg, 1024x128. Make sure that your picture is this size by going to Attributes in Paint. If you're still having trouble, send me a PM (again).

Save your pic as a JPEG, and open it with Texview. Then, save it as a .paa or .pac to your liking. Be warned, it has to be a 2^n x 2^n size (use Attributes in Paint to change this).

This isn't a rule question per se, but I was just curious about these two things: What is this? How can I change my members group? It seems people do it every day, but I can't find where to do it. Is this something the moderators do? I was pleased when mine turned into "Advanced Member." The next step up is "OF Fan," I know, but how do custom messages show up there? Cheers, mods. Use both the USMC and Army, if you'd like. They're not interchangable, though the SafetyCatch and HYK units use the same base model.

Something which has probably been mentioned before - I'd like to see a true-to-life deployable weapon system... like WGL, except built into the engine. If not, then hopefully the scripting system will still (it 99% probably will, I reckon) will still allow for our WGL-esque workaround.

If you need a low-lag, decent-model US Infantry addon, I'd recommend Hyakushiki's US troops. Best bang for your buck, though LSR's Rangers are very nice too.

I may be Aussie, but I know a damning comment when I see one. That ShinRaiden packs a punch. Â I've just got to say I'm a huge fan of the US military, and I don't like how those brave lads and ladies cop flak from an uncaring and unknowledgable media.

If you could run all the different modules for all the different vehicles/styles of combat at the same time, sure. But I imagine the keyboard would become mighty cluttered mighty quick. And what of the lag?
