TrueMods - TrueRangeAI Beta v0.9
CameronMcDonald replied to Rg's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I worked around this by throwing my whole squad into cover behind the nearby farm, then edging out and ACOG'ing the snipers into oblivion. I'd be disappointed if the helicopter didn't come under fire from the town, TTYTT. -

I personally despise the SCAR (no personal experience, of course - I also despise the XM8) but those look lovely! -
I was miffed. I even made sure I didn't damage her HMMWV (if you do it auto-explodes), and lo and behold. No queen. How convenient.

1st MLOD from ARMA ODOL v40 - M16A4.P3D

Yeah mate, I regularly work with multiple copies of O2... but from which window to which window would I copy/paste? Just not exactly sure, is all. -

OK, so, now that we have units with weights, I need a little hand here. I've got a unit with a custom vest model that needs weight values to be transferred from the original BIS ones. Assuming I've got all the correct selections made up for the vest, how exactly do I do this? -
You answered my prayers mate. Thanksya.

How does this affect the models ingame, exactly? Is it a major issue? -
Shweet stuff, mate! Now, if you could just do one for that M60 released a bit back...
-
Well done son! Hope you're back someday, now I'm gonna haveta find someone else with PolyCruncher! Enjoy yourself, maestro!

I always liked the Colin McRae series... if only Dirt would work on my blasted computer. Need For Speed is fun if you like total unrealism, shiny cars, spike strips and R + B... Porsche Unleashed was the best NFS title ever, IMHO - after that things just went... ghetto.

You don't even need a flare. Just get yourself a GP25/74 or keep your M4/203. Then, after you see the bloke, waltz back to the base you started at (DON'T QUIT) and grab a green GP25 flare or six from the Ural there. Or, alternatively, take the Ural to the meeting point. I got a bug where Karl still complained about not having a flare in the next mission at the start, although each team member had at least one, but you don't even need a flare (you can get one from a crate) - just a grenade launcher.

One more thing - it'd be nice to see a parallaxed Kobra scope, so the reticle points where the bullet lands, from all angles. Right now it's just a chevron on a texture... ...though I don't know exactly how to do it myself. Refer to SLX's demo Aimpoint (and I think SWMod has it too in their scopes). -
Give ole Pedro a break, the bloke has been working his nails to the quick... in his spare time. If I was him, I'd never come back, seeing the number of items I'm hoping he'll make LODs for when he comes back.

RH Pistol Pack v.1.0
CameronMcDonald replied to roberthammer's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
It's very easy - there's a scale option in O2. -
My feedback: Porto - lovely, just beautiful. United Sahrani - bout the same. Like the lumber camps though. Royal Flush - fun, it not terribly realistic. Pretty easy. Queen's Gambit - decent, plenty of nice animations to find the names of for use in custom missions. Few design quirks (esp. that damn TV studio level) but otherwise nice enough. Voice acting is a tad "speaking-to-a-5-year-old" level, but no problem; nothing like a bit of spoon feeding. Porto - lovely.

WIP: stuff you are working on!

Nice Ma Deuce, mate - now it's just a matter of fixing all the vehicles which also have it! -
Games Warehouse are indeed good - I got OFP GOTY from them, so 10/10 from me. I decided to skip the middleman and went straight for the Euro download version. I'll start grabbing it tomorrow.
-
The interior side panels seem a little bit bland - I suppose you're still working on them? Otherwise an excellent job, apart from that and Messiah's suggestions.
-
Finally - gonna take it for a spin over Sahrani.
-
Two skins would be much appreciated: - An SLA skin. - Russian Federation camo similar to what's on the BMD1 would be even more useful (takes priority, I guess). Nice to hear an update is in the pipes.

Leave the poor gent alone, Kris. -
Kyle Sarnik had fully simulated grenades (eg. nades rolling on the ground, etc) in OFP using a workaround in which the model was a member of the car class. However, he ran into some trouble simulating this in ArmA, since I was pestering him about porting his 'nades over a while back. I suggest you PM him. Â

Things I'd like to see/a bug: - Belt on the PK + Pecheneg is disappearing very weirdly. Might want to recheck the animations for the next version. - Would also be good to see whether it's possible to get the top of the PK + Pecheneg to open while reloading, ala SwissMod MG style. -
Main Battle Tank Gun Ballistics, FCS, etc.

Excellent idea, hope this comes to fruition.
