I had OFP+Resistance running on an EEE 701 4G and it was ok, not great, but playable. I didn't like it because it was hard to play without a mouse (having to criss-cross hands).

Hey all, terribly sorry for dragging up this ancient topic; I'm just getting back into OFP editing. Can someone talk me through the process of editing a vehicle config, I.e. CBTs Brads or Humvees, to allow HYKs crew to be used. I can add in the class name, but I get guys with black, botched faces. Many thanks. CC

Snuffy, You'd be surprised how well green/woodland works in arid conditions; especially when used in combination with desert camouflage patterns. The Brits do it all the time, and even encourage it. The Canadians wear woodland body armour, and even wore woodland camouflage for the first 3 years of our mission in Afghanistan. CC

Try PMC Rugen, a massive 25kmx25km map thats great for air combat and tank battles. Don't have the link, but google 'PMC', I'm sure you'll find it. CC

The Stryker is a variant of the MOWAG LAV Generation III family. The LAV-25 is a hybrid of the MOWAG Piranha Generation II family. I know the Canadians a few years ago accidentally dropped a LAV III into a harbor in Croatia and assumed it would float. The thing sank like a rock.

Good addon, nice to see it finshed. One problem, though. Anyone else still getting the CTD when you load a section of infantry? CC

Am I the only one who gets a CTD when you try to load a section of infantry into the vehicle?

I really hate to be flippant, But half the stuff in these packs doesn't work. Â Like CT said, alot of CTDs. But it has alot of potential, kudos for the new units. CC //Edit// Dunno if it's just me, but none of this stuff works. I have to use the vehicles as empty, and add my own crew. Might be a problem with the config.

Universal, as a fellow officer, if you really are one, I'd expect a little bit more maturity. So the guy didn't know about it, let it be. At least he didn't ask for an addon to be made, or did something without the owners permission.

My favorite was the mountains of Molson Canadian Beer found in the turret of Operation Northstar's old Leopard pack. Now as a Canadian tanker, I know we drink alot, but not that much. Also noticed that the Danes drink Molson Canadian according to the Danbat pack.

@ abs, My addon-making experience is limited, well non-existent....could never figure out how to use Oxygen and all those other gadgets. I know a little bit about configs, but mainly adding and replacing weapons. But if you need some pics or technical data on the real-life stuff i can help you guys there.

Good to hear that we may have some new troops and units on the way! As for the rest of the equipment of the CF, alot of it has already been made. The Coyote could be based off of SEF LAV-25, they're very similar vehicles. The Leopard C1 could use BWMOD's version. And as for LSVWs, its an Italian vehicle and Pedagne Mod had some very fine looking trucks. Anyhow, thats my $0.02 worth
