Turkey air crash kills spanish troops

Hmm yes, saw that article on BBC. Russian planes aren't having it too good are they? They've had about 5 crashes this year alone...

    What about the aussies?

What about the South Koreans? The Thai troops? The New Zealand troops? They all had a part too, and I hope that they, along with Australian troops are implemented, either by BIS or by our wonderful mod community.

    Game physics

That is a feature that many people want so I think BIS will include it to make us all happy

    End of the usa

I think it will have to happen. Might not happen for another hundred years or more, but I still think there will be a time when the USA isn't the top dog, or they are the only dog. History has proven that great states only last so long. The Babylonians, Khengis Khans empire, The Romans, The British, The Germans, The USSR. They have all been great but are now gone or only a whisper of what they once were. It can happen very quickly too. All it would take for the USA to go would be one bad president. Could happen for multiple reasons. Could start another civil war. There is such a diverse culture and so many people who don't like African Americans and people who don't like the whites and so forth. Another possibility is America really annoys the world and pisses off most of the world to a degree that the US is totally shut off or a war insues in which America will either be taken down, or it will rule the world.

    The matrix: reloaded

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Akira @ 20 May 2003,14:53)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Also if you expect everything to be wrapped up nicely in the last movie, I wouldn't hold your breath. It's not the style nor the theme of series I wager. Expect to leave with questions.<span id='postcolor'> You'd be right on that point for another reason: The Matrix online. The Matrix online is a MMORPG set to come out sometime in 2004 based in the Matrix world. It will be set after the Matrix:Revolutions so Revolutions can't be totally conclusive or else there wouldn't be a plot for the the Matrix Online. The creators of the Matrix, the Wachowski brothers have said that the three films only cover a small part of the Matrix world, a bit like Tolkiens world. You can read the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings, but you still haven't read all about Middle Earth.

    The matrix: reloaded

Those would be a lot easier to control. Fluffy bunnies produce way more heat per weight unit than humans, because they have a faster metabolism. So do bacteria. <span id='postcolor'> Well... You see... Umm... These are special machines that can only take sunlight and human energy I liked The Matrix: Reloaded. It had its uppers and downers but overall a good show. Just lacked some of the class of the first one. Not enough style. They needed a scene in Reloaded to rival the famous lobby scene from the first one. And they needed more bulolet time slow motion sections.

Where do you think the safest place in a plane is?

Sure, if a plane goes into a nose dive at 30,000ft and hits the ground dead on, no, your not going to be safe anywhere, but if the plane was coming in for a crash landing nose first, I would rather be up the back. As has been mentioned, the middle of the plane is the most strong, but like has also been mentioned, the middle of the plane happens to be right next to the wings potentially filled with thousands of litres of jet fuel.

    Casablanca rocked by explosions

As I mentioned in the Saudi Arabia attack thread regarding this attack in Casblanca, car-bombings really seem to be the flavour of the month for Al Queda. There's been an attack in Chechnya, Saudi Arabia and now Morocco. And yes, there is the looming threat of more attacks. Intelligence seems to point towards something going down in Kenya and in South-East Asia. Bush looks a little silly after his speech in which he announced how damaged Al-Queda were.

Explosions in the saudi arabian capital

There has been another wave of carbombing attacks, this time in Casablanca in Morocco. The the BBC Seem slike carbombings are the flavour of the month... Chechnya, Saudi Arabia now Morocco...

    E3 summary

Maybe their a bit too early into production to be showing us anything.

    Other e3 games

I think Half Life 2 is going to be a big winner Very smart move of Valves to not officially announce HL2 until it was nearly done. They have been working on it since they released HL1 back in late 1998. Imagine if they had announced lets say early 1999. After four years of waiting... most people would be thinking 'another Duke Nuken Forever'. I like realism in games, but I reckon HL2 will make up in its graphics, fun gameplay, good story, great enviroments, AI and physics. The graphics might not be as detailed as Doom III's, but they look a lot more realistic. Doom III's graphics look really cartoony to me, and I doubt it would have very exciting gameplay. For 10 hours: Open door, shoot monster, find key, discover monster, run away from monster, ambush monster, open door, kill monster... That first screenshot from Call of Duty... Whats the betting were going to see some sniping action in the bombed out ruins of Stalingrad?

    Ask a mod

Is that possible? Â <span id='postcolor'> I'd say it is possible since you can change a members number of posts, but I definetely doubt the mods are going to allow people to transfer post counts. Since the mods (denoir in particular) have very high post counts, every one would be asking them if they could borrow their post counts, and I doubt they would be happy about that

    Railroad

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Harnu @ 14 May 2003,13:14)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Ya, they can make them next to Silbrico  too big pic<span id='postcolor'> What is it with you and Silbrico? Having trains would be great, not just for atmosphere and reality, but for missions too. Sneaking behind enemy lines, laying explosives on the track, the blowing up the tracks as a train came along derailing it would make for some good mission experiances.

    Another suggestions list

Very good list BIS are going to be busy for the next 1 and a half+ years if they want to implement the majority of these things. I would really like to see the listed things implemented. I'm wouldn't be surprised if we don't get quite a few of the things listed, but if we get even half of them implemented... we will have a very good game. But we already knew we were getting a good game didn't we?
  19. Col. Kurtz

    Seventh

How about this, BIS can make the music for while your on missions and stuff, and they use liscened music to play on radios and stuff at bases and the like to give the enviroment more authenticity. So you might be walking through a base in 'Nam and The Doors will be playing out of a radio somewhere. Then you jump into a chopper and as you fly over the jungle some BIS or Seventh song/tune kicks in.

    Sights and some special stuff

More realistic iron sights would be good. Vietcongs are pretty good, but in Vietcong the gun is not held at a realistic hieght, it looks like you are firing from about the hieght of your chest. If they could have iron sights up at realistic hight, that would be good. You would have a smaller field of view, but its more realistic.
  21. Col. Kurtz

    Seventh

It would be good if BIS could get some Nam area songs into the game, just to set the scene. If your on a US base, it would add to the atmosphere to have a radio somewhere playing music from the Nam era.

I'm thinking of the fun that could be had mixing modern add-ons with OFP2... Driving around Vietnam in 1968 in an M1A2 Abrahms or a T-90. Flying over the deserts of North Africa in a MiG-29...

Three theaters, wow... Although is anyone else worried the game might have the "impassible wall" since we're dealing with  continents? Or did I miss something?<span id='postcolor'> Here is an interesting quote by Marek Spanel in a recent interview with OFP.Info </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Significantly larger maps will be definitely possible - we hope that the size of maps will not be really limited any more by anything else than map designers’ goals and skills.<span id='postcolor'> Hopefully that means they will be able to pull off some really really really big maps. But I still wouldn't be surprised if maps do have a limit on how big they can be. Maybe it will be like OFP1: When you travel pass the maps limits, you just continue across/over infinite water.

    Game physics

I definetely agree that things should be able to be vaporised. Nose diving into the ground at about 600km/h in a plane resulting in the plane bounding around and flying up into the air is not right. It should just explode into a fireball and all that would be left would be chared remains. And yes, LGB landing ontop of soldiers...
