As it has been stated, the cruise missile can only carry a 10kg warhead, indeed not much use for terrorists, except maybe for an assissnation mission. Could be interesting. Don't like your boss? It would be like if someone started making a small one seater plane that could be built for a couple of thousand $ and the person posts instructions on how to build the craft they have designed from totally legal parts, and points out how a terrorist could fly a plane below radar coverage and crash into a building. Sure, like Sept. 11 proved, crashing a plane into a building can have a lot of effect, but not in a little tiny plane. You need to use something bigger, so maybe Al Queda starts making their own bigger plane. It's still a plane and they still use it to crash into a building, but the design is very diffrent and a lot more expensive than the design posted by the inventor. Same goes for the cruise missile. You could use a DIY cruise missile for an attack, but for it to have any real large effect, you would need to use a large design and chances are, it would be designed quite differently than the design our New Zealand inventor is taking. My point? Well, sure, someone could get the idea to make a cruise missile and use it for a terrorist attack, but I doubt they will have much luck using the design from the guys website. A book from Tom Clancy would probably be a better bet

The unfortunete thing is that there is very little known about his feat outside of New Zealand, and a google search on him turns up blank. Still, the claim he was the first man to fly is not just a unfounded conspiracy made up by a few bored people. He was a known inventor and he definetely make planes, the only thing stopping him from being given the title of first man to fly is that there is no evidence such as film or photo whereas there is for the Wright Brothers. He is quite well known in New Zealand but I doubt his fame spreads outside of NZ because besides making planes, he didn't do anything too significant in terms of inventions to get him world wide aclaim. If however, proof did surface showing he did fly before the Wright borthers, well.... Another achievement by a New Zealander was the splitting of the atom, done by Ernest Rutherford. This along with other work he did helped us make nuclear bombs! Biography on Ernest Rutherford Anyway, enough patriotic pap about achievements of New Zealanders (did you know that in North Africa and Italy durring WW2, the 2cnd New Zealand division fought in more battles than any other allied division?). I find it quite amusing how NZ officials have responded to this DIY cruise missile project. All they seem willing to say is that they are aware of the project.

I would deffinetely like to see some kind of melee system implemented into OFP2. Like you said, it could civilians more of a threat. You might come across and angry mob and you could find some angry guy throwing punches at you. Also, would be a lot better if opposing soldiers would get in a tangle with each other. Now, they just shoot each other, even when their only feet away, and even then it takes them awhile to getting around to shoot their targets. Melee is something BIS should look into for OFP2.

It sounds like a good system but I think there should be choice. There should be a campaign like in the original Flashpoint where the missions are made by a mapper and you just go along for the ride, maybe with a few veriations depending on your actions. Then there could be the more strategic version where you move your troops around and assign targets for bombers etc. I would say theres a high chance that the strategic campaign system won't be made by BIS, but it could be a good mod.

We had some Scorpian tanks, but a few years ago they were decommisioned with explosives (government decided we didn't want them any more so the army blew the tanks up). Now our government has run off and brought all these LAV's. On topic, I think either a Leopard 2A5, a Leopard 2A6 or a Strv 122 and maybe even one of those experimental Leopard 2's with 140mm guns mounted on them would be a welcome addition to the OFP world. Been of a newer generation, my first video game experiance was in the early nineties. Can't pin-point a date or game, but I do remember back to 1994 when my best friend got a sega with Alex the Kid. In those days I was terrible and I was lucky if I made it past the first level. I used to prefer to watch my friends play rather than play the game, probably because they were so much better considering they owned segas. It was the Playstation that really got me into gaming.

Best way to get a huge kill list: Place lots and lots of enemy units in a really small space then drop a B61 from the F-15 pack. Of course, you'll probably end up destroying yourself if you want to get an accurate drop. But thats a small price to pay to get about 400 kills.

Thats a good solution Although it depends on how the damage system works. Hopefully OFP2 will have a much more realistic damage system so if you can't destroy a chopper by shooting it into one spot until its armour is down to 0%

Well maybe they (BIS) could implement a complicated scoring system so say if you hit a chopper in the engine and it flew off, then crashed later on because of engine faliure caused by your bullets, you get the kill. If they just crash into a mountain through bad flying, then they recieve negative points Since that would probably be way too complicated, I think a system like you suggested where the last person to hit the craft gets the kill if it goes down. There might be instances where the crash is caused by another factor other than the damage inflicted by weaponary, but it would probably be correct most of the time.

How about we find some really big forums with thousands of active members each, then set up a pyramid scheme We should be able to scam enough money to buy this beast, convert a part of it into a big LAN room, another part into a developer studio for all the mod makers, hire a crew, buy a few carrier aircraft, pay for fuel and then all the forum regulars can cruise around the world in an aircraft carrier, playing Flashpoint, making addons and doing all other kinds of fun things. Should be rather grand.

Unless it has got a super realistic physics engine and the storyline is changed, I don't think it will be able to touch Half Life 2 in my mind. If you manage to make this camera so that it takes a screenshot whenever you press the button and then saves it, this will be an immensly good addon Save us all alot of time. Won't have to bother with print screen or screenshot programs, and won't have to bother with editing the picture as much.

Your probably the only person I have seen in all the threads about the matrix reloaded I have read who liked that scene. It seems that everyone despises it along with the sex scene. I think the rave was good, but too long. I think it could have had the same if not more impact and been a lot shorter.
