I use a ISDN conn. Modem is an Adtran 3000. 128kbs..it is XP compatible. That was the first thing i made sure of when i installed XP home.

Have it sorted out gents ..I will keep XP as an OS. This took 5 weeks and about 4hrs of phone time..... My ISP was not compatable with XP. The tech swore it was and it was windows that was the problem. When i got the "senior" tech on the phone he said "your version will not work with XP!" took 10min to fix ....all earthlink users call and make sure you have latest version!...you must have ver.5.07a.....PC and OFP are one again

Thanks for the input gents. I have turned off firewalls.disabled the ICF....no help. I contacted Adtran(modem) they say its codemaster sofware. Isp says the same.microsoft says the same. But as i informed microsoft the problem started with instalation of XP. Hell i have told them all that!......

Hello Gents Mplayer issue. I installed winXP home 2002. was using winME.Now I cannot leave a mplayer game? I have to jump out before host with alt-tab then task mang. if I am late doing this its the"Hardboot".....ouch! I never see the screen that has "shutting down" on it.
