    needs fixing

I had this problem myself, I was in driver's seat in T-80, and have given order to engage at will. Commander started to give out firing order to gunner "Engage T-72 22" "Engage T-72 22" "Engage T-72 23" "Engage T-72 23" and so on... Very annoying... (BTW gunner never had a single shot)

But first give us more ammo and decrease accuracy and grenades "kill power.<span id='postcolor'> I wouldn't say decrease "kill power". It is quite accurate, but the accuracy.... much too great...

Will we ever get proper Gun elevations

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (Wobble @ Feb. 05 2002,06:31)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">there is almost no smoke.. there may be some DUST it kicks up off the ground but the firing itself isnt very smoke.. I wish I could find it but I did have a clip of the M1A1 firing.. you would see a GIANT flash and then a small tubular puff of grey smoke you puff out of the barrel.. and thats it..<span id='postcolor'> I don't know about Us guns. if they have invented powder that creates no smoke, but in Russian tanks there is actually SMOKE!!! If I find somewhere my photo collection, wich include BMP-2 firing, I'll send image where you can see the SMOKE. And there is one thing that is more crutial than gun smoke is smoke trail from missiles... For example: If there is infantry squad with AT4 in bushes and tank platoon attacks from open ground, the missile team is on flank. They launch first missile, destroy first tank, others might have not seen the missile, but if there were smoke trail from missile... BANG... the missile team would be history...

Should be between 5-10 degrees depending on Tank modell. At present, there ist to much space between gun and chassis left.<span id='postcolor'> Actualy in OFP the gun elevation are, in russian tanks, correrct... About that 5- 10 degrees... In BMP-2 gun elevation are: -15 degrees and + 87degrees!!! (Been there, done that...)

About BMP-2 (and other russian tanks)

There are few things wrong with BMP-(2) in the game 1. Commander is located wrongly - Should be in turret, just like in heavier tanks. 2. In 2A42 (30mm gun) are 3 different ROF:s - Single shot, Slow auto (30-60 rnds/min) and Fast auto (1200 rnds/min!!!!theoretically) These things I (as an Ex-gunner of BMP-2) founded, so if possible, You could try to fix those in a patch, or something. And as general about (russian) tanks: - ALL russian made tanks have AAMG's, mounted in commander's cupola in T-72 and T-80 tanks and in T-55 loader's cupola. One minus on this is that if you wish to fire AAMG, you have to be turned out (in game terms)!! -Smoke dischargers are found in all MBT's (Excluding ancient T-55), BMP-2 and M2 Bradley have smoke dischargers. Game itself is AMAZING!!! FANTASTIC work!!!

How is the vehicle like? Fast? Reliable? Comfortable? Have you went into combat with it? Please share your experience with our fellow OF brothers if you are free! Thank you SIRE!<span id='postcolor'> Ok, my experience in BMP-2: Fast - Maybe, depends in what shape have the workers been as they builded it... (In mondays... ) Reliable - See above, usually, yes. (Starts easially at -30 C) Well the gun is excelent work, we had only one problem, and that was due to ammo belt joint flown into gears of belt lifter. Comfortable - LIKE H*LL Seen combat - No, luckily. (With simulators, yes)

About BMP-2 (and other russian tanks)

Well allmost all other explosions on OFP are more or less correct, expect LAW (and RPG?). They don't have explosive effect at all. All they do is raise dust, if shot is missed from target. If they hit an armor, they'll penetrate it, and blast molten metal through armor, and cause very unpleasant shrapnel effect inside tank. In OFP the ammo selection of BMP-2 is accurate (only HE and AP), allthough it has just been invented HEAP ammo for it, if I remeber correctly. In MBT:s not. For example in T-72 there are HE, HEAT and APDS.
