    Beginner question

To go into a little more depth, where ever the cycle waypoint is then that is where the guy(s) will start their root again. No flaming needed for that question, we're all nice people at flashpoint1985 forum.

    Help !

    Hmmm, déja vu, non?
  4. I had the problem with "SVDDragunov" (still not sure of the spelling, it's a nasty one) and me being so complacent thinking I could get the spelling correct every time had to restart the game at least four times. Flashpoint takes so long to load, with all the stuff on its start up.

    New weapon

If you're adding the weapon to a man in a mission, an ammo crate or something similiar. ap addweapon "SteyrMag" Â Â this addweaponcargo [G36AMag,?] (ap = player name) Pay no attention to the addweapon/cargo, it's just a little editor's liscence. These are both to add the weapons, to add the ammo it would be: ap addmagazine "SteyrMag" (Not necessary to add ammo to ammo crates)

    Tip for the Pub mission

There's also a guy with a gun somewhere, take him out with the grenades, go to the ammo truck and you get a new option to pick up M-16 ammo. Presto, you're the only person with a gun on the whole island. Apart from the guy in the resistance tower!

    Nightpatrol

If you get them quick enough they don't have chance to plant any explosives. If you look, you're in a shallow canyon type thing. For me one guy came from the right of it, and one from the left.

Why can't i compltere red dawn!?!

I took out the SCUD first, purely by accident. One of my team-mates who were sitting in the back of my Hind pointed it out. So I took the SCUD out first. I didn't use a walkthrough so I had to scower the land for the UAZ. Found it eventually, for some reason Guba had stopped and was doing some sightseeing. So I took out his mate and that was it. The mission worked for me!

    Assassination(help)

Look at the map: there's a helicopter base somewhere. Take yourself and your men to it. There's only two pilots, two crew and a guard there. Take em out. Soon a truck comes, I think, take that out as well (all for the sake of points). Get in the Heli - the rest is up to you...

    Ai?

Noticed this myself. If they see you run into a bush their cross-hairs will follow you. Check in options under difficulty if "super ai" is enabled.
  11. Cyberdyne

    Statistics?

You can shoot down a helicopter but it might not be dead. Because helicopters fall out of the sky at about half life, so you might not have killed it fully. So it falls out of the sky and explodes on the ground = no points for you. Gaia takes all.

    Which version am i running?

So you've extracted (unzipped) the files to somewhere on your computer. There will be an icon that has the soviet hammer and sickle in gold with a black background. Double click on this. A new screen will appear where you don't have to do anything, just let it run. When it's finished click done and try the game. On the bottom of the screen (the one with: Single Player, Options, Multiplayer, etc.) somewhere there will be some text saying v.x x=whatever version you've most previously installed.

Need help with search and destroy

I did it the helicopter way, although I told the people who couldn't get in a chopper to wait outside the base, so it didn't blow my cover. Flew to the base, took out the Shilkas, found how annoyingly strong the T-80s were against my projectiles and eventually tokk out the scud. At the same time I selected all the foot-troops and told them to make their way for the place the scud was, and radioed in support from the M113s. Surprisingly chalenging driving a helicopter and looking at the map at the same time! I didn't understand why, but when I told my wingman to target some one and fire he never did. Oh well!

    Sp mission cleansweep ii

No problem. To be honest I think the Clean Sweep missions are the best single mssions because they're fast-paced and reasonably chalenging.

    General tank commanding help needed

What exactly do you need help with. Just the driving part: Use these first: I just use the move, then next waypoint command (1,9). Or if I'm in a squad (not the leader) I just use move, then return to formation. Always look at your tank through the third person view - it's much easier that way. Use these second (if you have to): Using the right/left moves can be chalenging because you tell him to go right/left and then he straightens out again. To avoid this just keep telling him to go right/left until you're at the desired angle.

    Tank questions..

On the action menu (bottom right) select "move to driver's seat" because the computer's driving skills aren't quite as good when it comes to precision movements. Drive near to the repair truck/ammo truck and a new action will appear on the menu. Select it and hit "use" and it will say "repairing" (or whatever in the centre of your screen). For targeting [tanks] I just press tabs to cycle through the available ones and then when you get a diamond and a square on top of each other your weapons are locked - Fire when ready. When trying to target men, don't bother, just load machine guns and the gunner does it for you without asking. So long as you have told him to fire first. The little white dot is the current position of the tanks barrel, i.e. if you then click fire the projectile will hit that white spot.
  17. Cyberdyne

    Rpg?

You can only take light armour with the RPG. If I'm going for a tank I usually try take out the barrel (usually takes two shots), then the men just get out anyway. Don't know what the lines are for, I think I use the ones with the beads on them, and experience has taught me how much to elevate the launcher by.

    Sp mission cleansweep ii

Chances are they ran off. Run around in circles for a while, they're bound to shoot you at some point. I did the mission one and they'd ran off about 200m radius from the center of the village. Another tip, if your two comrades are dead, then the chopper won't come to pick you up, they think of some lame excuse. They did that the time I went on it any-way!

Omg im going to go insane!

Is this the one where you're in a valley... I kept them in line formation and got near enough to the base to take out the two BMPs. Then I called in Bravo squad and went no further. I told my men to take some cover (don't let them run off) and then when ever I saw a Russian in the base I took him out (this can take some time). Once I thought it was safe again, my men and I got up and carried on into the base where Bravo were mopping up some men hiding in tents. There were no survivors from the base and I completed it more or less straight away. Remember: Let the Russians come to you (when you're near next to the base), they seem to be too well entrenched for a Rambo type assault. Call in Bravo after the two BMPs are dead or else you wont be able to kill them [the BMPs] because they'll drive off (it's much easier to kill them at the start). Don't leave your position too early. Watch out you DON'T kill Bravo members. This technique worked for me, although it might take a few attempts. I saved it just before I had to kill the two BMPs.

    Error type expected bool

Has anyone ever told you your twirly plane's almost hypnotic... not (alive air1) and not (alive air2) I used this code in a mission ages ago with similar circumstances and I seem to remember it working. Perhaps I am wrong?

    Can't Finish Countersrtike mission.Help!

Sometimes the only thing to do is restart it, (unless you've got a previous retry or save point, try that) if you're that hooked on Flashpoint it shouldn't be a problem. Sometimes the triggers don't activate properly, or just take ages to and sometimes... Who knows?

    Recon

This is the one where you have to find three shilka's before an attack, is it... I got really lazy on this one and just selected each one of my men and sent them to the two outer bases (from the middle) on the map. They reported them back and the objectives were complete. Even though I had no idea what each one of them was seeing, I still managed only to lose only one of them. Unfortuneately, a BMP must have followed the alive guy back to me, funnily enough the BMP didn't see me or my mate and tried going about 100m into the sea after the boat that comes to pick you up! Still completed the mission though.

    Red Hammer?

After completing both campaigns I have grown to accept Black Op/Spetz Natz missions. However I dislike the fact that it is surprisingly hard to be covert. On some missions I have noticed that the alarm has been set off when I have killed one man on his own and hidden his body. Most of the time I resort to a dynamic attack as apose to covert. Luckily, there are few missions that require stealth in any of the campaigns (therefore it is possible to get away with less subtalty), unfortunately the ones that are (like the one where you steal Guba's papers) are really hard to do covertly (by this I mean creeping right upto the house, taking everybody out and stealing the papers without been picked off by the armour (or the infantry if you can stand the embaressment ), which I didn't do anyway). The Spetz Natz missions that are there make up quite a large amount of the campaign (- the twist at the end), and you are leading a squad of yourself or others from 1 1/2 missions onwards!

    Sitting and Walking Units

Or if you want the unit to start with the gun on his back, put this in his initialisation field: this setbehaviour "SAFE"

    This is not fair!

How did ya go about capturing a T-72, and how many points did ya get at the end? Quite a few I guess so that's something to be thankful for!
