And for me the middle eastern conflict, the caucasian conflict and african civil wars are on the other side of that line. But hey, that's just me !

I think what this comic is showing is the disproportional reaction of israel towards those palestinian attacks. During the Gaza War (3 weeks conflict during the 2008 winter) NGOs estimated that 13 israelis died and more 1.400 palestinians died. that's 1/100 ratio... There were also aproximatively 500 wounded on the israeli side and 5000 wounded on the palestinians side. So, do you understand that comic strip better now ? In my opinion the Israelis are the main responsible of this situation. They drown the palestinian economy with their blocus, monopolised the water ressources aswell as the agricultural land. Everybody knows that poverty leads to extremism. As long as the israelis will prevent the palestinian economy from developping they will be responsible of more more young palestinians joining the Hamas. I know everything isn't black or white but just like many other I think the Israelis should know better. We often hear that Israel is the only stable country in that area and the only ally we have there but as time goes by I think Israel is becoming the main reason for the western hate in muslims countries and in the end they're doing us more harm than good. Yes, I think we should drop any help/support we provide to Israel. That doesn't mean we should support Iran or the Hamas either, but we should require higher standard from a so-called western country. Just imagine one second if the roles were inverted, if it was the Israelis who were dying by thousand, I pretty sure NATO would already have bombed the shit out of the palestinians.

Once again I understand the issue but not your reaction. It looks like you think ED is doing that on purpose, like if they could fix but..."naaah let's keep 'em frustrated with our ghost trees" ED devs aren't greedy bastards, do you know many studio who allows a dev from another studio to advertise his game on their forums ? ED did, with BIS ! Dwarden was posting news about ToH (not even ArmA !) and answering qweries, on ED's forum (!) I also think ED took a bigger bite than they could chew. You gotta realise that right now they're working on : FC3 beta CA beta DCS:Fighter Edge Nevada Map. And they're also helping the 3rd party devs. That's something for such a small team. I'm not a fan boy, really, I just think they diserve another chance, because despite the flaws they're building something quite amazing.

Well yeah, that's unfortunate but then again it's still in beta, too early to bitch IMO. I know how frustrating it is but you have to be fair, if you buy a beta you can't expect the game to run silk smooth. Some games sold as "complete" are much worst than FC3. Honestly I haven't had any CTD with other modules, at least not ingame, I crashed several when hitting "quit" but it could hardly be less annoying, specially since the launcher itself never crash (at least for me). Concerning the mods/testers, there're dickhead everywhere. I know a few people here who fits perfectly to the condescending moron archetype too. But thank god none of them is moderator...well W0lle is a bit special and I wish placebo could stop sending me flowers and love mails...but that's another story :D And CA...I'd be tempted to say I've waste my money too but then again it's too early too judge, still in beta too, nobody really knows what it will be like to play on a DCS:W server one year from now. This is the very beginning of DCS. I know BS and A-10C are out for a few years now, but the "real" DCS starts now. Give it some time

lol well yeah of course it's sold full price, just like any beta. ArmA 3 beta will be sold full price, ToH beta was sold full price. And once the game is released you get the full version without having to pay more. Don't understand your point about CA, why would you be stuck ? And comon, they haven't prove to be unwilling to fix their games, I know what happened with BS but it didn't happen with the Hog or the Pony...so far, I'll give you that.

Beagle...are you aware that FC3 is in BETA stage for only 10 days now ? And several bugs have already been fixed I wonder how many fixes will be made to the ArmA 3 beta within that time.

:j: Just like I said I know they've had some questionable move in the past, was it because of bad "planning" or was it just to grab $ from their customers, nobody can't answer that. But ED is the last remnant of an extinct species, hell it's not even a species, it's the only one of it's kind. they're too precious to be let down. DCS:BS was a one shot. They already had the idea of a modular world but they really didn't know if it would find its audience. It did, probably more than expected. The real first DCS module was the warthog. And as far as I know there're no plans to release a DCS:A-10C 2 Studios like Eagle Dynamics or Bohemia Interactive are too rare to be treated like EA, Ubi, Codemaster and the likes. When I bought the Hog I realised how dedicated they were but it's only when I bought the P-51D that I realise how passionate they were about what their doing. I know it sounds insane but you litterally feel it when you play with the pony. It's like if the cockpit was sweating love and passion. I'm not crazy, you can ask the P-51 owners, a majority of them will agree with me. ED devs are completely nuts.

Flaming Cliff 3 will be the last sequel from that serie. After that it will be all about DCS I never understood the visceral hate some members of both communities have towards the devs/game beloved by the other community (not talking about you NodUnit) I know ED has done some questionable move in the past but when you look how small this studio is (roughly 30 devs ) it's quite astonishing to see the level of fidelity they offer. This probably the only studio who isn't taking any shortcut when it comes to realism. No concession whatsoever, this is a really brave standpoint in today's video game business. And for that I have huge respect for ED. Specially since things are slowly but surely taking shape. The last 6 months have been really encouraging. The modular aspect is finally up and running, there are still some issues but just like any sims of this complexity it takes time. If you're not patient you shouldn't even look at ED and their products. Several 3rd party devs have showed up too, announcing dozen of new hi-fi aircraft. FC3 is there to fill a gap, because we probably won't see any 3rd party aircraft before at least 1 year (except the Mig-21 and the UH-1H) and people are dying to get their hands on fast movers. No one is forced to buy it in order to enjoy DCS:World in single or multiplayer. If you think it's crap, don't buy. As simple as that. It's a turning point, the work ED has laid down over the past 5 years is finally becoming something concrete.

Oustanding vid kyletiernan, can't wait to see what you'll do with ArmA 3 :) lol, I think you've mixed up the names here :D The astonishing work is done by Binary Orchestra/Kyletiernan and I think most of the effects were done in post-production.

You do know that these 3rd world farmers using GM seeds have to buy new ones every year, right ? When they were using local seeds, which btw were very adapted to their environment, they planted the seeds, growed them, harvested them, collected the new seeds, planted them,etc. GM seeds aren't re-usable. Most of the studies so far were "in house" studies, made by Monsanto themselves and were only few months long. Farmers from all around the world are going bankrupt cause they believed in the holy graal. The suicide rate of indians farmers has never been so high. I strongly advice you guys to take a look at some documentaries like 'The world according to Monsanto' or 'We feed the world' Monsanto, Pioneer, Nestlé,...are all but philantropic corporations. They don't give a flying fuck about starvation in africa. Nestlé event wants to privatise water ! Here in Europe, thanks to Monsanto lobbyists and the like, more than 2.000 type of seeds have been banned because they weren't fitting so called "safety controls" (and guess who made these safety controls?) Those were local seeds, used for centuries. All these companies (including pharmaceutical ones) trying to make you believe they're working for the good of all have only one interest : money If you want Monsanto to feeds you, be my guest, but personaly I avoid them like the plague. Just take a look at what they did with PCBs : Monsanto Hid Decades Of Pollution You want me to believe they've suddently changed their minds ? All of a sudden the good of all became more important to them than their profits ? Please...

Really interesting and exciting project ! Wish you best of luck with it :) Prototype will probably answer by himself but I don't think that's what he meant. He's involved (founded ?)in a pretty popular mod called city life. I guess he has made a few firetrucks and all those great souvenirs of hours and hours of hard work are coming back thanks to your model.

Thanks a lot mate :) Isn't it ? I was the first surprised, I was expecting some sort of invisible wall a bit like in ArmA, and then I ended above the cloud cover. BI did a great job with their volumetric clouds, the result is quite convincing, better than some dedicated flight sims.
