If they don t fix it soon will have to find a non "legit" way to play a original game... Ridiculous isn't. I read a reply about the graphic driver's and tweaks above... Also tried that even deleted my arma key manually from registry. I want to play the game Wich I like very much and above all to use the corrections the patch might have and play with friends of mine which do not have the same problem as I have. But I am not whiling to destroy my computer configuration that good for all other games I also play.

It would be a miracle if it worked... hehehe What really makes me wonder is if this is really the support forum from BI since I only see sickboy doing hes best to help us out here and no official response to this problem... Not to speak to the poor situation handle of securerom that is only giving a not working solution to many by mail. It makes me wonder if we have bought a home made game from a bunch of kids or from 2 professional teams that can face situations like this in a professional manner. This not obviously the only game I play on-line and I play on-line for several years but this is surely the most ridiculous situation I face with a original software that no longer works with a update. As usual we will have to be patient.

For those who did not understood. 1st I Installed a new system in a new hard drive. 2nd Installed ASUS NVIDIA drivers and Chipset nforce4. Installed Arma 505 dvd 1.04 -> 1.05 -> 1.08 and didn't boot. Restored System via System restore to clean install... Installed Arma 505 dvd 1.04 -> 1.05 -> 1.08 Without drivers... And it worked... Installed drivers and it work again... Fought that maybe those drivers would do the same job in my "old" 160gb Sata2 hardrive. And it didn't work. I had then the new hard drive as sata secondary drive... When I intended to use only the new disk the game was not running again. Why is there always some one to flame the one who tried to help others? Explaining the problems they had the solutions they might have. As I said I tried all the "mambo jambo" and Have no solution to the problem and will wait for a solution from securerom. I ask to those who have nothing to say to just keep reading instead of flaming this post as I will do forward sinceI cannot help in other way. P.s- My English is surely better then most of many English's Portuguese.

There is something very wrong with this update and securecom. As u know I experienced the problem tried to reinstall and nothing new. Well I restored the fresh system to the first point without any driver installed it all again without the nvidia drivers (vga/chipset nforce4) ant it ran....... crap it worked... installed my cdrom drivers from the asus 7600gs top and the latest nvidia chipset drivers ant it still runned 1.08. "after trying all the mambo jambo in this topic" "What a hell!" "Let me try that with my other "old" sataII 160Gb hard drive" And... it didn´t work... So Since I had it working in my other hard drive I thought what a heck I will use the other sistem and reinstall my other games and system on it. Guess What i installed the new hard drive alone and it didn´t work any more. End of statement this is really a crapy coding and protection job. It really prevents u from using your game in conditions. Will wait to some other conclusion since my time is very short to waist on other job. I hope there was some reason left to buy another genuine game.

Installed a new hard drive... Clean install... MInimal drivers no Anti-Virus. And same problem. NOT RUNNING. I completely exclude any problem in my old hardrive system. New System nothing installed and no game and no error. 1.04 505 dvd -> 105 International -> 108 crap. If they can´t solve it will not be able to play last version. I will not up-grade to vista because of a game and will not switch my computer since it works well in other games I play. POOR JOB... Secure...

So should we. Will format my hard drive tomorrow... because of a poor protection and a bad costumer support... Will try to fix it my way. Will post the result tomorrow even if its negative.

OK back to 1.05 or 1.07 beta for me... Just not to take the bloody DVD and set it on fire and trash the bloody game...

Same problem no solution. Sent report to secure rom and I am waiting also. Also reported this Thread to them to let them kow. tried everything here in this thread. Will not install Vista because I hate it. I am happy with my XP. Hope they really care about their costumers the ones that bought the product and get us a fix to the problem. my specs: 505 DVD VERSION EURO
