ACE before chirstmas or newyears please. It seems that the mod team is working and working and working and there is no progress what so ever. No pictures, no videos no nothing ACE is dead! I will belive it when i see it

It takes much less time to yell something out than use the ArmA interface. Maybe you like it, but face it, it sucks most reviews i read on ArmA were complaining about shitty command interface. Average gamers like me dont want to be speding time messing with crappy UI. Also it believe AI reading ur mind would be actually possible with this thing http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826100006 Its called Neural Impulse actuator and it costs about 150 bucks plus delivery.

The main thing that bugged me about ArmA is how crappy squad controls are. It should not take that long to give your squad orders. Or respon to your squad leader via voice comms. What i would like to see is an overlay like in Battlefeild 2 that can be activated quickly by holding down 1 key. Like "Tab" or something. On release GUI overlay dissapears. So than when Overlay is on there could be a mouse cursor with wich a player can click on people in his squad (toggle). And than a couple of circles in the middle (Transparant) with which orders can be easily given. That would take a second or two while it takes me around 30 seconds to get it right in ArmA. Ok i have watched a few videos on ArmA 2 and a few videos on OFP 2 from Liepzing game convention. It looks like OFP 2 will have more deatail, better animations (including reload animations) and very good AI. Good multiplayer system. ArmA 2 is going to have improved animations and improved AI. Better multiplayer experiance and its just going to be an improved version of ArmA Thats what i know so far. Post your ideas, which one will i spend my 40-50 dollars on? I hope BI (will improve animations a lot) And remove annoying button menu thingy on the side! Help me decide! They both seem to be coming out Q1 2009.

It feels like you are walking with your binocs on inside a house and you can hardly see stuff propertly since FOV is so bad, or houses are too small.

Every time i try to connect to a server regardless of the server ping or number of players i keep getting stuck on "Wait for host" screen. While the consol printout says that i have connected. Ive been waiting to connect to a server for over 30 minutes once but i was still stuck on "Wait for host" screen. I used to play just fine in 1.08 patch. I checked all of my Antivirus settings and my firewall is turned off. I have a good internet connection and my ping was usually around 30 on US servers and 100 on all European. Please help.

Ok i have deleted another Trojan in my Local settings folder with Kaspersky and removed all unnecessary buttons/addons with Hijack this, and allso removed unknown dll's with Hijackthis. (I allso cleaned ArmA MP Cache) My ArmA mp seems much better and much faster now! I can join allmost every server, some times it takes around 10-20 minutes on wait for host screen but it works! Just joined a server with 60 players on it! Thanks for the help guys!

Ok i have analyzed the report and deleted/fixed few things that were unknown/unnecessary. I made backup of every single thing i deleted. It seems to have made no changes at all to my computer, nor to ArmA MP Problem. Ok i have preformed full disc scan with "legal" copy of KIS 7.0 with the latest update, updated August 1st 2008. After about 6 hour scan it detected 4 viruses, 3 of them were trojans one was somekind of other one it was called "Connections.co" After i deleted that virus and rebooted my machine, i could now join allmost every server regardless of how many people were on it. Just joined a berzerk server with 50 ppl on it no problem. Â I dont know for sure if the problem is fixed or not. Its weird because i could join Full Battlefield 2 servers or Red Orchestra servers with that virus on my PC but not ArmA servers. EDIT: Problem still presists. Yes i do have IE 7 and it does crash frequently, is there any connection between ArmA MP and IE?

I reinstalled 3 times now and it is still happening. Sometimes i can joine servers that run "Signature check" Still most of the time i wait on "Wait for host" screen and get error message - "Session lost" that only happens on servers that run addon key and signature checks. I can get in those servers but it still takes me 10-20 tries to get in. ---------------------------------------------------------------- <span style='color:red'>Once i even got banned from a server because i was continiously trying to connect and it would lag people on the server out. How about euphoria physics engine? That uses biomechanics and muscles e.c.t. BI may be too poor to afford it thou :/

I would like to see covering system from GTA 4. IN there you can actually peak a bit over the obsticle to spot your enemies. That would work way better than 3rp person. Without the "peak" function, the cover system would kind of be useless with first person only. With peack you could scout where is the cover coming from exposing very little (allmost invisible in arma) part of your body.

Euphoria physics engine is a brand new next-gen physics engine that uses processor to animate the character in real-time, based on collision, skeleton and muscle tension and other variables. GTA 4 is using that physics package. If there would ever be a possibility of ArmA 2 or any future realism games made BI to use physics Euphoria would be it, screw havok :P I dont know if it is possible finantialy to get suck a physics package than implement it into current ArmA engine. Well that would be a dream here few examples

I tried that, i just got a fresh vanilla install and i tried it with and without battleye. ------------------------------------------------------- One thing i found with my kaspersky network monitoring is that arma.exe opens up svchost.exe with "-k netsvc" command line. And while im connecting to server it downloads information at 2.4 kb/sec and sends information at around 300 bytes/sec. After 5 minutes on connecting to server screen i have recieved around 500 kb of stuff. with that process. Would that be player data, custom sounds and faces? And why is it so slow? I download at 700 kilobytes/sec i got cable. Is there any way to make arma.exe in assosiation with  svchost.exe recieve more data faster at constant rate?

There is nothing that i can recognize that would be a network/multiplayer error. I went through the arma multiplayer troubleshooting guide. http://community.bistudio.com/wiki...._Issues did. netsh winsock reset, deleted the beta folder and the arma folder from local settings, configured my router to accept UTP ports 2302-2305 and it still did not help. Is there any soulution? Did anyone elese experianced this problem? I want to be able to play arma online agan

Needs GTA 4 like physics. I wish that was possible

I know, those commands are useless because i cant get in the server in the first place. Those commands only work once you connected but the problem is that i cannot connect i am stuck on "Wait for host" screen after i hit "Join"

Hmm... how is that supposed to help me? I allready new those commands.
