  1. I have been at a stinking hotel for two weeks unable to go back home to ARMA, how I love her, so beautiful, and caring. She only wants to bring me joy. One more week of hell and then back to the love of my life. But the wife is ok too I guess.
  2. I would like to thank BIS for all the hard work they did to make this game as good as it is and all the effort they keep putting into this. I have been playing since OFP. And love the game and mods.

    Arma 2 Player Age

42 but my wife said I was 10:j:
  4. I quit the crossfire game I just returned the second card. I will wait a year and get a better card this crossfire thing is too much of a hassle.
  5. No good with the 11.1 drivers after much testing and tweeking the drivers just don't run correctly. White flashes when running 1920X1080, drop to 88% and less corruption. Back to 10.12 drivers and no more problems. But still not running like crossfire should. Game still rocks, I guess I should accept the fact that I will not run this game at full specs no matter what. I don't have enough money.

    HD6970 11.1 drivers

it works for the xfx hd6870 in crossfire for arma2. I don't know if it is true crossfire performance but I ran the ao benchmark with one card installed and got 47fps then without changing anything put the second card in and crossfire set to run I got 62fps. Update............. bad driver for this game back to 10.12
  8. I think it is working with the newest drivers Catalyst Software Suite 91.6 MB 11.1 1/26/2011 I can't tell for sure what is happening but the game is very smooth at 1920 x 1080 and settings at high to very high. aa at normal. I could not run this setting with one card. xfx hd 6870 cards. win 7 x64 Update: I think something is helping but it sure isn't what crossfire should be I see a small improvment in fps. Not worth the price of a new card. Crossfire is just a way to sell more cards. Should have saved money and purchaced one better card. SLI and Crossfire are not supported like they should be it has been out long enough to fix the bugs but there are way too many problems, stay away from multiple cards! If someone has a different opinion, I would like to here it.
  9. update I think with the new drivers it is working have to get back to work will test more later.

Flying on a 27 inch screen

I was loving the game and screen untill I tried to run crossfire now I crashed everything and spent the last 6 hours resetting the system. Did anyone get the hd6870 crossfire working? Just installed new drivers and I think it is all good will test more tonight. Not good enough do not run crossfire it sucks.
  11. I have found that playing on a 27" screen brings a new aspect to the game that is just not there when using a smaller screen like my old 22". The depth of the game is almost 3D. BIS really did a great job with the graphics of this game, that you truly cant see untill you open it up. I have to go back to boot camp and practice flying again because the view changed everything. I highly recommend a larger screen that is fast enough to play games on.
  12. I am very unhappy with the crossfire support with the xfx hd 6870 I just installed my second card and it is worse then just one card. I hope someone could figure out how to make this work because I am not able to find any info on the net. I tried all the tricks and no love!

Flying on a 27 inch screen

No way, I purchaced the game from amazon for $13.00, wouldn't run on my ten year old rig and instead of calling it quits like I should have I spent way too much money for a system to run that game I purchaced on sale. Seems to me this wasn't such a good deal. This will have to do for me. I am done spending money to play a 13.00 dollar game, after I get my second hd6870 card for crossfire.;) ---------- Post added at 08:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:41 PM ---------- Nice room. I Like the old school barrett on the shelf. :D

I hope this isn't coming across that way I was just very impressed with the eye candy, monitors aren't that expensive anymore. But if it makes you happy to know, I make a fair amount of money working on the road.:bounce3:

    Hi All

the only thing I would change is the ram I will get some 1600mhz ram when it lowers in price I had to cut the price down some way. with a new haf 922 case and 850w power supply I was out of money. One other thing I really want is one more hd 6870 for crossfire if it is supported by the game.
