Was anyone able to play in Hardcore mode servers during the open beta? Players tend to behave better and work as proper teammates in those servers. I think it's just the sort of team you end up with that ruins the experience. But if you end up with a team that knows how the game should be played, especially in combat mission mode, then you can have a pretty darn good tactical MP experience. I mean c'mon guys, this game isnt trying to be ARMA 2 OA. If you want realistic Afghan mountain warfare, then ARMA 2 OA is it. If you want hollywood style scenarios and set pieces with team work gameplay thrown in, then I think MOH is perfect for it.

Wait, there are helicopters in Insurgency?? How come I've never seen them in all the servers that run this mission?

With the exception of the Zargabad map, I notice that in almost every mission (official and user created), enemy AI's prefer to fight from mountains and hilltops. Even when you're in a village they prefer to surround you from the mountains and don't bother coming down. Could it be just because of where the AIs were made to spawn when the mission was created?

Why not make the OPFOR human players Squad leaders of AI's?

Nah, that ain't right. Unless the mission maker did'nt know how to script a CAS AI properly so he has the player take control of it instead?

Okay, something weird happened when i called in an A-10 CAS. Not sure if it's part of the mission but... when I selected a target on the map, I SPAWNED as the A-10 PILOT!! Ofcourse i ended up crashing and then respawning back as my normal infantry character again.

I'm all for natural death, letting nature take that person's life and with today's pain killing treatments, I can't see why state sponsored euthanasia makes sense. There is something very admirable about someone suffering from old age who does his/her best to over come the challenges of pain and sickness rather than just simply give up on live and let pain and sickness overcome that person. If everyone thought like pro-euthansia people, then we might as well give up the research to fight cancer and aids. Hell, why should "suffering and pain" even need to be the reason for euthanasia? How will that reasoning be any different having the right to die because of depression? Or losing your job? Or just plain not having the will to get up in the morning? You say life is life, well Human life is facing up to the challenges of life whether it be overcoming sickness or looking for work, it makes no difference.

Heehee, see, this is what I tried to point out in the first place. Saying that one does not even need to be religeous or believe in souls to see the value of innocent human lives. But apparantly some people still see us as religeous nut jobs for thinking that human life is "special". I don't think this is going to get anywhere, at least here it won't. We're not going to change anyone's minds about human life, the way it's treated, and where state sponsored euthanasia will lead society. There are those of us who strongly believe in humanity and value the life of fellow human beings, and then there are those who are pretty damn self centered and think they're doing society a favour by encouraging an innocent person to give up on life instead of facing up to the challenges of life. Oh, and to get back to Abs point about "life is life", sorry but I have to say that that's total BS. Which would you rather give time and money to? Indangered species or starving kids in Africa? Sorry to get back on that other sub-topic, but I think that statement needs to be addressed.

Would you consider making AI team mates optional? Hard to believe, but not all of us can get together at least 4 friends to play ARMA all the time. :D

Yeah, that's not what I see on my screen though. All I see is the world "off" in the parameters menu. Either way, great mission. :D

I see an error message when I respawn at the bridgehead - "Error: Creating weapon BAF_L17_40mm with scope=private. Also, just to be clear, you and your squad mates are able to respawn indefinately at the bridgehead? Is this the same for the AI controlled squads? Did you make it so that the Air Cav unit spawns in the air parachuting or did my chinook blow up before I even got a chance to load the mission? :D Other than that seems to work fine and feels like an awesome mission so far.

I tried to generate a generic COOP mission and a generic "Clear the Area" coop mission in Shapur using the Mission Wizard. But when I loaded, in both cases I spawned in the middle of an open desert, I couldnt see anyone or any objectives on the map and there was no tasks. All that was generated was some enemy AIs who spawned somewhat far away from me but could still see me and shoot my guys.

I was able to speak to said NPC and it said i didnt speak the language and recommended another squad member to be sent from HQ. How do i send the other guys from HQ who speaks the language? I assumed your whole party was travelling with you even though you only see the leader on the game screen.

Hmm, I don't know if this is related but starting the day before 1.54 came out, a friend who I play COOP missions couldnt find my non-dedicated server on the list. He had to type the host name to find it and saw it was marked as red. Now he is able to join me, but ever since that day my gaming sessions have been showing up as red. We both have the STEAM version btw.
