I don't think it's a good idea to manually patch a STEAM game from a non-STEAM source isnt it? I heard somewhere that games under STEAM should always be patched by STEAM itself.

I had a securom bug as well back in ARMA 1, took a couple of days of me whining in the forums about it to get it fixed for me. And now I'm not sure I want to get ARMA2 knowing that SECUROM is back again.

Does your camouflage pattern "hide" you from the AI? Does belly crawling under tall grass and other forms of concealment actually work? Or are the AIs all uber soldiers that can see you from miles away?

What are they set to in the regular campaign?

Are USMC AIs more skilled, than say insurgent or Russian AIs? Do they use tactics that set them apart? Or is the only thing different about them the hardware/weapons they are stuck with?

What happens when one of your team mates die in teh coop campaign? Does he get to respawn or does the host have to reload to an earlier save?

So the AI can be actually "fooled"? They actually "see" something that looks like plants and "think" it's a plant?

Well I bought a new ViewSonic 22" VG2230wm LCD widescreen. And it looks GREAT! It's like having a new computer! I want to know if I have to install this so-called monitor driver it came with? I've never bothered to install monitor drivers before even during the days of CRTs. So I was wondering if I should do so now? I mean my video card recognises my monitor so what's the point?

Were they on some kind of sleep mode?

It was an LCD Benq FP757 I bought way back in December 2004. It was working fine until now. It was on 1280x1024 @75hz resolution. Could the sleep mode have caused the problem?

E6000 is different from E6300? Â I own an E6300 so am I affected or not? Â In either case I really don't notice any problems. What exactly are the symptoms of this 'reliability' problem? And will this update come with my windows autoupdate?

Any ideas on how I can prevent the same problem from happening to the new monitor I will buy?

Well yeah, as I said I've tried my 17" LCD on another computer with the same results. Anyways, my card is a 7950 GX2 1GB. Will that be enough for high def widescreen resolutions? Also running on a Core2 Duo and 2 GB RAM.

Widescreen monitor questions cause my old 17" LCD crapped out. For some reason when I got my LCD monitor out of sleep mode it flickered for a while then just went black. It ain't my computer cause I'm using my old CRT on it right now as I type this. I also tried my LCD monitor on another computer and the same thing - the screen remains black, but the ON button still shows the blue light which indicates that it's not on stand by mode. Normally if my monitor didn't receive any signal it would say so on the screen and then the ON button would turn yellow. I saw none of this. I switched it on and off and still nothing. Normally if I were to turn on the monitor I would see the BENQ logo, I did'nt see this either. Everything was working fine with the monitor until today. This morning it was fine for a couple of hours, I then left my computer after which windows shuts down the monitor after 15 minutes of the computer remain idle. I come back a few hours later the monitor flickered back for a while then just went all black. Anyways, it looks like I might just have to buy a new monitor so it may as well be a widescreen. So I have a few questions about widescreen monitors- What's the typical resolution it should be set at and at what hertz? Is it still necessary to turn on antialaising with widescreen resolutions? Thank you. Any suggestions on what I can do with my crapped LCD monitor would also be appreciated.

I did a while back and it got locked. I also think they should release an official hotfix for both these bugs so that people don't have to search for it in the pages of a forum thread.
