  1. Rar, ZIP, 7z are compressed files u have to uncompress them using some software.

I recommend you to install and use 7zip from www.7zip.org which is a free program and works perfect.

Open the program and in tools/options you can set so it manages all the extensions, check this page to help you with the installation and config:

It's and old tutorial but u can see its still working.

  2. I have the steam version of Arma 2. Could someone tell me where to put the mission file?

    Thanks :)

OK , I finally figured it out and I wanted to post this to hopefully help anyone else who has same question. For the Steam version the Arma 2 folders are going to be found in the Steam folder. To get to it you will open Steam , then open SteamApps , and finally open folder labeled Common. Arma 2 folder should be there and open that up and you will find addons folder, missions folder etc....

And in case you don't know what to do after finding your ArmA2 folder:

U have to extract the pbo file to your ArmA2\MPMissions or ArmA2\Missions or ArmA2\Campaigns folders depending of the type of mission (Multiplayer, Singleplayer or Campaign) and then start your game and you should find them there. For multiplayer u have to create your own server ingame to be able to see them. For SP u find them where you find the original ones.

If you download them from armaholic in the page info there is an installation section with the info.

  4. You don't have to ask permission to use any addon in your missions.

If you want you can add a Credits & Thanks section in the readme (if u have one) saying "Thanks to ... for ....".

Permission is needed if you are going to edit the addons (among other like incorporate them to a public package, ...), but not for using them in a mission.

  5. Hey. My first post so please be gentle. :D

I really like the idea of this mod and would be interested to try it out. But could some kind soul tell me the exact line I have to add to launch options (I have steam version). I mean is -mod= all I need or do I have to add mod folder path or something?

    Thanks in advance.

You have to create a folder inside your ArmA2 main directory.

Name it for example @Mymod, then inside this one create another which must be called Addons (u can not use another name). Now place the pbo files inside this last folder.

Now in your shortcut add at the end of the target line -mod=@Mymod

    For more modfolders use -mod=@Mymod;@Mymod2;@Mymod3
