I voted for performance too. Dual/Quad core support would be a great improvement, but it's damn hard to do. 1.07 actually fixed everything on my comp, the large scale battles I made in 1.05 was laggy and useless because of the number of units, and now they run fine, even with increased graphics options. The small bugs that's in ArmA now doesn't bother me really, the other patches fixed the AI, so I'm happy with it But they should make it a little bit easier to initialize the hover procedure on the Harrier, I have to climp to about 500 meters before it's really safe to turn the nozzles so I don't crash into the ground because of speed loss.

There's a little thing more too, when playing online and trying to stab soebody with a knife or any other weapons like that, the other players open fire, they don't pull out their knives or try to beat you with the rifle butt  . I'm sorry that I' replying to an old thread like this, but in games like Cod2 and CS I get pretty much p****d of because no one is using CQC, and only shoot you if you approach with a knife. If this is added to AA for a strange reason, don't expect it to be much used, a lot of cowards will just shoot your eye out if you run after them with a shovel   And the AI's hearing capabilities are very humane in ofp games and it will probably be like that in AA to, so they will surely hear you even if you crawl up behind an AI enemy

I wonder if there will be civilian hunters It was a bit boring in ofp that only resistance hunters began with the shotgun And I hope snakes and other poisonous animals can crawl onto your vehicle and your player completely freaks out and the get bitten

I personally prefer 2010 (as many other people does), Vietnam would be cool, but it's too late now and besides, think of the game specs USA vs. Russia is the best concept, I'm so tired of EA games making games where they set up China, USA and the middle-east against each other (Take C&C generals and BF2 for example). US vs. Russia is a fiction that would be disasterous, but would sell as hell. CWC made a very good impression on how that war would be and what it could evolve into

Advanced Character Custimization
Bloodnick replied to sniper pilot's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
May I dare to say this too, but a personality editor like in Sims 2 would be great. Physique or psycic abilities would be nice. Psycic would be like; how much damage can you take before you go mental (like the banana), or how stressed you get in a firefight and actions like reloading or targeting will be a lot harder to do. Maybe driving cars to. But back to the point. And if you choose to much of one ability or strength, you get lifelong diseases or problems as being a bleeder or  needing medicals to keep your body calm. So my point is that you can choose good abilities for your soldier, but you get back bad things too. Tony hawk's underground has a cool feature where you post a picture of yourself to the activision central, and you get a fully detailed THUG head of yourself back That would be nice too Cheers from a place where polarbears roam in the streets Bloodnick -
Grenade use! That's one thing I really miss in ofp. Every 10th AI on a battlefield uses his/her grenades max 2 times. I haven't seen much of it even when I played with veteran difficulty. But I hope they implement a grenade warning system , like in COD2. There are more grenades used there than ammo (It's only a figure of speech, but the AI there use a lot of grenades). I liked the first post where MGS3 was mentioned, I want the AI to aim in the area they thought they heard something and not lie down and open fire and get killed by atleast 5 headshots. And please fix the AI teamplay, they heal and supprt many of their squadmembers, but when there's only one soldier a squad of 12 is fighting against; they send soliders after him one at a time. I experienced this in Ia Drang, the vietcong sent one at a time after me in a bunch of tents, and when I killed one, another one came after me (plus they had a terrible aim; yes I played with veteran difficulty ). But back to MGS3 AI, they should be a lot more cautious when they hear footsteps or seen a mysterious leg disappear behind a building (Call for backup would be a nice feature). The Aa specops could maybe have Swat or SAS "AI", they move around silently and always stick together and use flashbangs to enter a room. But please, don't add real spetsnaz AI, then you have to fight against acrobats in a forest that can maim or kill you with their feets or take down two enemy soldiers equipped with knives The vbs1 convoy scripts is a must for Aa, a mission with terrorists that's taken over a 747 or antonov, and you play as a civilian cop and walks around in the jet and takes down the terrorists and saves the day of 200 passengers . Or fighting in iraq and you get killed by a rebel drive-by by a Toyota pickup , or sitting on or inside tanks (large artillery tanks like Paladin that is), then you're more safe from AT-soldiers P.S: Let the AI behaviour change from what kind of soldier classes they are or what kind of vehicle it is. I really hate it when the blackhawk or the hind acts as an attack chopper and not unloading the cargo first before slaughtering soldiers on the battlefield.

The graphics are asskicking! The Bumpmapping textures are betetr than CSS and HL2, and the details on the face kicks BF2 out of the picture. Even more details that are busted are: The grenade in the chest pocket on the soldier on pic 1, the idle finger that ain't touching the trigger tells me that finger posing will be in the game and the radio that seems to be functioning. On pic 6, you can see that the tank threads are heavily detailed, soft shadows that looks better than the new cryengine for directX 10 (the shadows from the tree that hits the right T72). Pic 2: the water effects are improved from the last updates (where it looked like blue goo), but it still reminds me of the BF1942 water where it looks like it was made with several transparent layers that weren't merging each other. And the long range view seems a lot better (my 7800gtx card with 512MB, 1GB DDR3 ram and my 2.2 GHZ processor can't run ofp resistance on full detail ) Pic 5 shows shadows that are cast from the gun turret, which is good (except for the M1A1/2, it looks a bit crappy, look at the flare launcher and the side panel textures), and it shows rocks too, that will make funnier off road missions , then escaping from commies will be harder too (and the tanks have a hard time hitting you while you shake and jump up the hill ). And the best of all: it looks like the old OFP , so it won't be hard to use it either. And that the GAW mod can make battles with the size of the geonosis battle because of the 64 player/bot support Maybe make a USMC assault on a city full of rebels and civilians Keep up the good work BIS

Caen is surely going to have doubled ofp's normal system specs, just look at it!
-
okay, now i get it
-
well, look at it, they are posed exactly like in the turbosquid pics
-
The female soldiers are eitherphotoshopped in to the images, or bought!! Looks familiar?
-
Damn, that thing is so cool. But no shadows from objects inside is a bit of a bummer. Will just have to wait for Aa for that. But a toast for you man

I think the BI is doing this on purpose with minimal details on those screens. They can't really spoil everything you know
