I just updated my game to 0.1.183 but all the servers are running 0.1.182. I asked some admins they say they got to upload the changed files manually. I guess I cant play ACE2 in multiplayer tonight...

I didn't say that ACE needs to change that. Every single person has to decide if he/she wants to play with or without. Anyway in the past there were two things: ACE1 changed the crosshairs, I made a little mod that removed all crosshairs and changed the one in planes (there was one included in proper too). That was good on servers with crosshairs activated, if you didnt want to play with crosshairs. If WGL changed the crosshairs I cant remember, maybe because I never played with activated crosshairs :p

I guess the most WGL/ACE/ACE2 users do not play with crosshairs. You can aim without crosshair as in real life to hit close targets with a little training. On larger distance you have to use your ironsight / optics. Thats realistic in my view. Removing all crosshairs would be ok for me but not for those few. A cadett mode with crosshair should remain.

I got german Win7 Pro 64bit and this program runs fine (not even running it as administrator) for me (opens http://localhost:16333/main when pressing -1-)

You didnt even read my points did you? 'The no full price game' is linked to my opinion that mose issues wont be fixed anyway. Which point is unreasonable?

Because I allready bought a game that promised me many of the points for 49 Euros. (dont mind the other five titles from BIS I bought- OFP,RedHammer, Resistance, ArmA1, QueensGambit). By the way these points are the worst bugs or mistakes ingame from my point of view. Dont flame me for posting my ideas fanboy.

- No Warfare in SP - No bugparty - No crappy teamleading (hidden commands, like formations and so on) - No tons of bad translation and mistakes in writing (-> radiochat) - No choppy radio voices - No FPS problems for highend machines (reduce the amount of textures or give us free SSDs) - No cheap addons that would be done for free and even better by the community - give us features - No high grass that causes unfair (dis)advantages in MP and even SP vs. uber-AI - No unbalanced AI that is able to see through everything (buildings, vegetation, water) - No cheating AI that reports enemies not reliable - No slots in vehicles that are not usefull: like SU-34 Gunner, M1A1 Loader, MLRS <- WTF?! - No airplane rudder bouncing after using them - No AI that does not follow orders (in situations where even OFP-AI would have followed orders) - No confusing menus - No confusing gear menu - No confusing server screens - No text blocking HUD - No HUD-icons that remind me playing a Wii game - No textured map ingame at any zoom-level - No explosions in burning vehicles that dont carry weapons - No more ammobug when an object is full - No OFP: DR (ok Im not serious :D) - NO FULL PRICE GAME! I SAID GAME? ADDON! But thanks so far for ArmA2 BIS :)

Exact same problems here. They can see through corners of buildings, buildings, fences, vegetation and complete hills. Its really feaky if they report things that are not visible and sucks like hell when you get shot at even if there is hard cover between you and the enemy. I think its not necessary to talk about AI shoting through trees, bushes, grass or other vegetation. In one case AI ran into the water of a retaining dam and shot my coop mate right through the water. I mean WTF?! You cant go stealth like in OFP, AI will detect you instant in 90% of the cases (since 1.0 Version) - even if you behave like chucknorris1337snipz0r in teh best cover where no human (WHO IS NOT TO FAR AWAY AND DOESNT SEE THE GRASS) would ever find you... and it makes me sick. There were so many great sneak 'blackop' missions for OFP. Unbelievable to see such a mission for ArmA2.

the radio comments are ugly. No need for whispered ones.

If you want to play everytime in window mode, its still anoying until you add -window to your shortcut.

If your game does restart in full screen mode even if you have selected window mode ingame you should add -window to your shortcut. Mine is now like: "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\beta\arma2.exe" -mod=beta;@VopSound_2.1 -nosplash -window ----------------------- An option that will select the maximum space avaible in window mode would be nice. In many games I double-click on the top of the window and it maximizes to the space avaible on my desktop. In ArmA2 ive got to drag it on my own depending what applications are active in the background.

Runs good for me since the new streaming change (window mode at Windows7 gives me 5 fps more, too). Why didnt they release now? I guess at least here in germany it would have been become much more successfull. Most ratings were about 50% or 5/10

Are the teamleaders icons going to be fixed? Means they are not that big and maybe textured? :)

- grass still sucks (you see it, the ***** shoting at you isnt seeing it. sucks most imho) - AI detection is way too high - still fps drops when doing 360° turns and moving near towns (buildings.pbo) - groupleaders icons showing his people are still ugly, big as hell and have no texture - there are still bugs in radio chat (no one read that stuff be4 release??? (german language) - waiting for ACE mod to get many many things fixed

I never play with 3rd person. And the times (esp. in MP) when I (and many others) fly a chopper are rare. Too many other things f*** me off at ArmA2 that I would start thinking about the rotors movement. Anyway nice idea - if you fix it on your own I will download and install it for me.

@kju I never edited any models. The only thing I did were islands and textures :(

Hey kju, the FPS boost is massive. I dont remember the average fps without your addon, but it runs smooth like hell. But for me every fifth tree is flying, I cant play with that ;) In some forests there are the half of trees flying what looks rly crazy :D When the "flying" and the other smal problems are fixed this will help many people.

You should try vopsound A.C.E. edition. It makes ACE way better than XAM. (vopsound 1.19) Here (down atm) Try this armaholic link

yeah Ive made the same exp. A sound bad and loud like hell is required here imo :)
