Re: theavonlady I have downloaded and installed all patches to 1.96, uninstalled Nero, downloaded the Windows patch, run Force ASPI, and tried altering some BIOS settings. Re: others It ran OK on my old machine with 198Mb and it is nothing to do with the CD Drive.

I have installed OP GOTY edition and when I try to start the game it asks me to "insert the Correct CD: Disc 1" and then closes even though I have CD1 in my drive! I have checked my ASPI layer files as recommended by Avon Lady (http://www.theavonlady.org/theofpfaq/) and it still doesn't work. I even installed a new CDROM last night and that doesn't either. I know the game works becasue it ran on my old machine (Win 98, 32Mb Stealth III, 198 Mb RAM) but not on my new one (Win Xp, 256Mb GeForce Fx, 256Mb RAM). I'm also having a similar problem with Grand Prix 4 & Il-2 Forgotten battles. Any ideas? :angry:
