I noticed with the police stuff (and a lot of other stuff) that with the big updates on the dev branch they added in stuff. Like the police tac vest. For the longest time if I am remembering correctly it just looked like a regular tac vest. With the release content update or the actual release it actually has lettering on the back now. There is also a placeholder for a police beret. Right now its just a black beret. I think there is a lot of stuff that will be updated when the campaign is out and needs it. Hopefully they'll get the lightbars working. That type of thing would look awesome with the new lighting. -
Speaking of transport planes, while looking through the tactical guide pdf that came with some versions (and soon to be published in physical form i believe) there is a picture of a C-130 like transport plane with the caption C-192 Samson cargo plane (pdf pg 128, physical page 254). Throughout the guide there are pictures of stuff from All in Arma but all of those pictures are tagged as them being from that. Also on pg 160 (219 in physical copy) there is a pic of a RH-9 Hummingbird, Basically a recon variant of the pawnee/hummingbird. There are also pics of the F-35 that don't mention its from All in Arma. I'm pretty curious if this is upcoming stuff.

What I'm trying to point out is Arma and before that OFP, the biggest portion of missions have come from the community. Its not a new thing. I understand the disappointment of there being no official campaign on release. I want it to. I want to find out all the story and whatnot behind Arma 3 but with the release of the previous games it wasn't like there were multiple campaigns day 1. -
In the editor right now and its still there. Keep in mind it doesn't show up when you are in 3rd person, only first.

There is nothing stopping you from hitting up the Steam Workshop: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=107410 Tons of great player made content right there. Quite a few good missions and they'll only get better over time. -
I've played all the Arma games/OFP and i've enjoyed them all. This one included. While there are aspects that caused me some disappointment I am still having a lot of fun with the game. Not everyone may like what was released but that is up to them. For me I am going to have a lot of fun with the game.

I keep seeing this pop up. Is this happening in MP or SP? I really don't play MP and I don't see this in singleplayer. I don't see it happening in the controlled environment of the editor. I'd like to hear a more detailed explanation of where this is occurring.

If they don't show up with the release I would say they would probably show up with the campaign as said above.

First off I just want to say I do enjoy the mission. However, I am having trouble with it. I'm playing it as single player from the single player missions folder. When I first played it I believe it was 1.2. The problems I am having are with the helicopter insertion and extraction. Previously with 1.2 the insertion was no problem. Now with 1.3 the helicopter jerks around, sometimes it ends up crashed in the water. It looks a lot like desync when playing online. I've also never been able to extract and complete the mission. I complete the objectives (optional too) and set off the main attack and see the reinforcements hit the mines. I then head for the extraction point. I played 1.2 multiple times all the way through and most of the time i never see the heli's. At one point I saw the escort ones make a run on the aa position i had taken out and saw what I thought was a little bird wreck at the intersection of the road that passes near the base with the comms officer and the road that goes to the extraction point. I was shot before I could confirm what it was. So far I've run through 1.3 once and the extract never came and I never even the escort heli's. I really enjoy it tho. I do like the changes you have made with the last version. Keep up the good work.

I'm planning on getting SWG this summer, after i get a job and upgrade my computer. At the moment i occasionally play the game on my friend's account. Baron's observations are good ones. In the coming months they are adding much to the game. However, it is about the same as every other MMORPG. They did need to have the game out now so they could sift through all the problems. In all of the MMORPG i have played you will never get the atmosphere of the game world if you go out and rely on the game to give it to you. What will make SWG really come alive will be the players. Well, that is my opinion. Now all i need to do is power up my computer and get the damn game.

I'd definitely like to replace the default BIS models and such to what corporal_punishment has but editing the config file is completely over my head. Maybe someone could set something like that where you could use it in a mod file (like ECP). Something you could turn off if you wanted to play without it or play online. Just a thought.

Instead of doing a mission based on the mission that is covered in the book and movie "Black Hawk Down", someone should do a little research about other missions that occured before that mission. I think i would find those missions much more interesting.

I using these guys as my counter terrorists when i play CS (that is when i am not completely pissed at the idiots you find playing that game). Though, if you were going to have them in OFP, it would be worth making a new model. The CS models are nice but someone could do so much better.

Question: How will the other units be replaced, which don't have a seperate pbo in the addons folder? I hope someone would make it a mod where you wouldn't have to open up the main file and replace all of the files. Thats just my idea. I don't know how exactly how all of that stuff works so i could just be talking out of my ass. Anyways, great work, can't wait to use them.

You should get someone to make it where you can do make this into a mod folder. Kind of like how INQ weapon pack could replace all the weapons in the current missions or how the Dynamic Range Pack can be used as a mod folder. Setting it up like this would make it very easy to switch from using it to not using it. So if it did cause conflicts in mp it wouldn't be a big problem.
