  1. why do you think they stopped the mod? seventh is the leader of the australian bis studio, so i think theyve just continued the work on the mod, but now with the complete bis team. they developped a new engine and implemented all the things they had done for the nam mod so far...

    i think there arent any new models in it... only some retextured BIS models, 1.generation addons... but as far as i know, xmp didnt even make them... they took them from some of our community-addonmakers i think... dont know if with permission or not....


  3. the problem what i see about this poll is that the two choppers are from two different epochs. the hind is from the 60s and the apache from the 80s/90s. so you may compare the max.speed of those two choppers or the armour... but the main differences are the navigation systems and the targetting systems and so on, i think. the ones of the apache are much more modern. all the electronics are much more advanced. thats not the point if youre only talking about the apache and hind in ofp, but if youre talking about these choppers at all, i think you should mention this.

    correct me if im wrong

    btw: i like the hind more... in my eyes, it has a real character...a soul. the apache is only a machine.

    but i dont know if the bundesheer mod still exisists (the last post on their site is from octobre '02) but here are two screens of their pinzgauer

    where do you have information from about dkm making a eurofighter? can t find anything on there site about it sad.gif

    @ran: bw wanted to make one and they already had a almost finished model but then they got problems with some members and now they say that there will be no eurofighter in the basic mod, but maybe in a bonuspack or something like that


  7. the main question is WHY should russians have invaded western germany? if americans had invaded cuba in '62 then russian probably would have invaded western germany...and as a reaction on this the americans would have launched nukes... and after this, russians would have started doing this too... dont think there were other options.. if one side would have tried to use conventional weapons, the other side would have started to nuke them...

  9. it seems the guys of project "lavos" have nothing else to do than just giving us another high quality addon... only a few days after the release of their great mt-lb pack they show us some screens of a very good and quite finished looking M-8 greyhound... i dont speak czech so i dont know if theyre talking of any release dates but to me i looks quite finished...

  10. i personally want new helos... but i think the best way to bring something new to ofp is to create new objects like whole towns or new islands... cause there actually is nothing like a bigger town or a real city in ofp yet... would like to see that...


  11. the helo looks good... ok... the textures are not perfect...

    but they will change them... the only negative point i see is the gear... the wheels make the chopper look a bit like an off-road car... that white colour should be changed into green or something...

    but anyway.. keep up the good stuff smile.gif

    AAC, Army Air Corps.  USAF wasn't founded until 1947 I believe.

    form 1926 to '41, us air forces were called USAAC (us army air corps), from '41 to '47 they were called USAAF (us army air force) and from '47 on there was the USAF... just to end that discussion xmas.gifbiggrin.gif


  13. i just tested microsoft's new combat flight sim 3... no way... it is LIGHTYEARS away from the quality of il2... in every point.. the graphics, the realism, the atmophere... nothing compared to il2...and sturmovik is out now for over 1 year i think...its just the best one at the moment... but in future there could be a compititor for il2 ... its called lock on and looks very promising... but it will take some time until its release

  14. my favorite one is il-2...

    1. it has the best graphic engine.... its just that beautiful ... no other one has that visual quality

    2. the atmosphere is just great... you feel like in WW2

    3. i like those slow-flying planes (compared to today's) of WW2... the planes still had a "soul" at this time...

    there is a editable model version of the CH47 p3d in everybodys pbo file. its a fault of BIS the backupfile of the ch47 is still in the pbo  xmas.gif<span id='postcolor'>

    so there is a .p3d file of the oh-58 in its .pbo file too?


  16. BAS' newest project is a KIOWA WARRIOR... looking good

    there will be the following versions of the chopper:

    - OH58D Hellfire (4)

    - OH58D Hellfire (2) FFAR (7)

    - OH58D Stinger (4)

    - OH58D Stinger (2) FFAR (7)

    - OH58D 50.cal, FFAR (7)

    my question is: is it a modified BIS model (which i thought wasnt possible) or is it a completly new model?

  17. you can plan..yes ... but how long will it take? 2, maybe 4 months? you can plan the basics.... for example: you can plan a mission concept, but you cant say how (if) you can realize it in opf2... you dont know what scripts it will need and how those scripts will look, you dont know what commands the mission editor will use... and you dont even know if there will be a mission editor in ofp2. thats the problem i see... we have just not enought information about ofp2... this mod could also be for doom 3... you just cant really plan anything specified to ofp2... because you dont know it... those few questions ondrej spanel answered dont really help us i think...
