For being pre-o2, this model already looks outstanding. Hope the poly count won't be affected in transition. OFP2's crew couldn't even mount their exhaust fairing's correctly on their Uh-1 Yankee model.

Ok. Did everything all of a sudden change, or what the heck is the deal. Wasn't OFP-2 (For the PC) suppose to be a vietnam based setting? I'm seeing all these screenshots of nothing that has to do with anything related to a vietnam era setting, unless the game-plan changed and BIS is doing a whole different setup. I've seen nothing but modern era models, equipment, vehicles, aircraft, environment, etc etc etc. Someone fill me in on the situation right now, cause it obvious some information has changed big time that I don't know about.

I haven't seen any ideas about it yet, or any talk about making one, so I wanted to know if a highly experienced modeler would be willing to make a U.S Navy A-7E Corsair II subsonic fighter-bomber. No particular reason for creating, other than being another model to play around in. I'm looking for good quality, variety of weapon loadouts, if possible, accurate sounds for the engine, weapon systems, wheel bays, etc (not some default crap, but if a founded sound file sounds decent, why the heck not), mutiple aircraft scripted commands (if possible, somethings may include folding wings, opening/closing canopy, operational tailhook, etc), accurate dimensions of the model, fairly good looking paint scheme(s) (desert, navy grey, etc), and an overall realistic performance of the aircraft. The whole nine yards if possible. I know this sounds demanding, but I seriously perfer high quality OFP models. If they aren't good quality, what's the point? All replying info is appreciated. Thx -BA

As long as the helicopters keep coming, being top quality, REALISTIC models, more and greater improvements each release, I'll be happy. As an improvement to helicopters, I would like to see flexible rotor blades, instead of the plain flat state they attain while flying. Beside that, Id like to see main rotor blades having the ability to tilt in the direction that the pilot banks the aircraft. I believe this is done on the original chinook helicopter, but it was only scripted for forward and backward tilting. And to add, I would also like to see realistic startup, engine idle, and shutdown processes (for those of you who know helicopters well, you know what im talking about.) And to add again, hehe, Id like to see (hopefully officially made) more radio commands added (in all areas), and maybe inflight character movements within the helicopter (arm gestures/movements, head movements, collective movement, flight stick movement, etc.) Things such as these would really add to the realistic look of the model when being flown. Sure its not necessary, but it would look a hell of a lot cooler and realistic . I hope this sparks some ideas within you modelers/scripters out there. Keep up the good work guys! -BA

Id say focus on starting Linux up, or if its alrdy in building mode, step up the process. Crap that isnt neccessary to work on should be held off. Work on the more important improvements at first hand.

How do I increase the size of my swap file???
-
This started about 2 weeks ago. Ill get into a mp game, then within like 2 minutes, ill get booted to desktop with an error that says "Cannot allocate 83 mb of virtual memory. You probably have your hard disk full. If you control your swap file size manually, consider setting it bigger." Anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong, and if so, possibly a solution? Thx. -BA
